After a successful mission last time out we need to turn our attention to protecting our very local, northern front.

We have had intel that forces are moving south from the north and others are coming along a road to the NW. Our forces are on course to stop the latter. Your job is to head north and damage the other advancing forces.

SU-27 and MiG-29S and the R-77s they carry are known to be available from the north and north east. There are also SSAMs to take care of too.

Make sure you are awake for this one!!

Pretty busy mission for us , had a plan to engage the air defenses as soon as in range . That quickly changed as we had multiple contacts in the air . Mango took out the south AAA group and did what he could with the SA2 site while myself and Griffin went for the air targets . Luckily the SA2 site didnt light up which enabled us to concentrate on the air threats .

After the first engagement with the Mig 29s we had a group almost immediately after of SU27's and then another group of Mig 29s . Target sorting and comms were good within our flight . We proceeded to CAP , called in Falcon flight , they did they're job and we went RTB . Unfortunately we got bounced on the way home by another group of Mig 29 , and we lost Griffin . We managed to splash one mig and then called in Falcon flight to clear up as we were Winchester !

After that we RTB .

Points:- The comms and target sorting was excellent , it was very busy from our side with active shooters , but the discipline was great and overall an excellent flight .

I watched the stream from Noodle after and my Comms were definately lacking with Falcon flight . I was busy but should have relayed info better to help with their picture . There were a few times Falcon contacted me , I either missed or was busy ,so something I can take on board for the future .

Overall great mission by Griffin , thankyou mate .

Plan - Engage ground targets between Stp 5-6. Priority armour and AD. Requested AAA South target(Jerry) and SA-2 NW of target (Tom) be destroyed by SEAD.

Execution

Rolling take-off. Boresighted over Stp 2. Both had issues locking onto Patriot units so used buildings in town.

Held 25nm South Stp 5 while Gamble1 engaged AD. Jerry confirmed destroyed but not Tom.

Once cleared into target quickly identified 3x groups moving targets North of Stp 5. Engaged, total 11 hits of 12 Maverick D with 10 targets destroyed, mix of tanks, BMP and SA-19.

During egress had 2x MiG-29A engage package from West. Gamble1 engaged, Falcon1 supporting. Gamble1 splashed 1x MiG but lost #3. They requested delouse and Falcon11 took 2x Slammer shots on flanking MiG, both hit, target splashed.

RTB. Descending orbit waiting for Gamble1 to land, then OHB on R05R.
