Last week we did destroy the Underground Factory as well as 15 fighters. We will use this opportunity to attack the Electrical Machinery Plant at P'Yongyang.
The first picture shows the general situation and the flight paths.
The second one shows the air defense picture around the plant. Although there are briefed flight plans, flight leads are free to change the ingress and egress routes of the flights for a better approach.
Package 20591
Serpent2 is a 4-ship Deep Strike flight. Mission success is given for admin building, storage tank, manufacturer and warehouse destroyed, PS is given for the manufacturer and warehouse destroyed.

Ingress went well, we held at STP3 until ESCORT handled some 16's that were East. We proceeded to target and did not encounter any SA-11s near the target. All targets were destroyed, one of my bombs had collateral effect on Knight's target, so I stole a kill from him. Good delivery and egress.
On the way home, we noticed 18 nails on the RWR and Shark was on our 9:00. They went to engage, but were not able to kill anything. Knight was in front of me, was engaged, and killed. I fired on one and killed it, then SNAKE came up to finish the job.
Possible learning/discussion point: should the package reform prior to EGRESS to allow ESCORT to form a box? In this case, it may have saved 2 air frames (Mango was downed too). Just a thought...

Ingress as planned until Snake engaged F16s in first encounter. Turned cold as instructed and back north when cleared in, although Snake were still busy behind us. Our primary target SA11 at ppt58 did not light up or become active so 3 fired at SA11s close to target killing 1 of them. Turned back south as soon as Serpent declared RTB and I fired and killed 2 SA11s that had spiked us on the way in. Got nailed and surprised by F18s coming toward us, told Serpent we were engaging, no input from escort (were engaged behind us). Afraid I handled the encounter too slugishly thereby exposing 3 and myself (and Serpent). Managed to get a missile off as did 3. I was shot down and 3 managed to evade. No damage to F18s. After that 3 RTBd uneventfully. |

engaged 2 hostile flights after crossing the FLOT. after dealing with them, we tried to regroup with the rest of the package. Reached them at the target. Right after turning for home, we had to monitor a flight of eurofighters and then a flight of F-16s that we eventually engaged. I got shot down. The rest of the flight RTBed |
