The situation in grid 4.6 is becoming desperate, especially in the south west.
Although the forecaster wasn't that precise lately, we have to trust him this
time. He promised fair weather over the target area.

The first picture shows the general situation and the flight paths.

The second picture shows possible targets in grid 4.6 for the AI flights.
The air picture is almost clear, so there will be no escort. Plan your flights
carefully and use good comms to synchronize your attacks.

Package 13892

Preconditions:
MS per pilot is RTB and a parked jet,
PS is given for RTB w/o proper parking the jet (crash on landing ...),
MF otherwise (airframe lost/destroyed for any reason).

Snake1, Stud1, Viper1 and Weasel1 are 4-ship AI flights.
MS success is given for at least 50% hit of fired munition
per flight, PS is given for at least 25%.

Snake and Stud are from the 911th squadron, taking off from Chongju,
Viper and Weasel are from the 912th squadron, taking off from Yeonchon.

All flights w/o human pilots should be redirected to the target area
marked at the east coast.

IDA will be from Snake1.
Snake11 is package commander.

Timings:

Flight Task TO PP TOT IDM VHF TACAN	FL

Snake1 AI 02:50	02:59	03:05 1 1 11/74	250
Stud1 AI 02:52	03:01	03:07 2 2 16/79	260
Viper1 AI 02:51	03:05	03:11 3 3 21/84	250
Weasel1 AI 02:53 03:07	03:13 4 4 26/89	260

Flight path is fixed for mutual support.
The weather is inclement at home plates and fair at the target.

Good Hunting

Weather was bad and couldn't boresight when we wanted to, we boresighted north of STPT3, which put us out of formation. We then turned to the target STPT and tried to engage, with myself getting too close to the targets and turning cold, dry.

After the first flight pass, I think that Stud was engaging AA when I made the call to fall back to STPT3.

By this time, Stud was down to a 1 aircraft, asking for a delouse. I shout down that bandit then called the flight to go AG again. At point we had #3 engage another group that I wasn't fully aware of, and they were taken out.

We then went AG again and did 2 passes as a flight, before we got overwhelmed from enemy F16s and F18.

I then called RTB, and while we were cold, an F16 burned for us, got close and fired for #2 and #3. While we knew that we had and F16 chasing us, I was not aware that it was so close - 18miles and 16miles respectively when he fired.

A bad performance on my part.

We ingressed in CAP as pre-briefed and got a Sentry call confirmed on a Jamming contact at our 11 at 80 miles. Shortly after we got another jammer on the nose at 80 miles. Then a 3rd clean contact at left gimble, within 40 nm so I ordered 2 to follow me and sprint for target. Looking at the ACMI, 2 turned right for a 180, consequently leaving me unsupported against a 2-ship F16. Not realising that I was alone and thinking that I had a wingman, I ordered him to sort on the trailer and I locked up the leader. I was even more confident when 2 requested houndog (thinking he was still with me and locking the trailer). But he was about 10 miles away by this time and going the opposite way. Anyway, I got mine, but looking at the ACMI, it looks like 2's target got me. I knew I should have locked them both with TWS, but alas, I wanted 2 to get some action. I think it all went a bit south after this, but maybe Vosene can add some more, since I was no longer a part of the mission from then. Not so much a MF as a complete fustercluck, hampered by problems with comms and IDM (which I haven't seen for a while). Obviously more training required, for me in leading a flight and for Green in A-A tactics.
