Flight Role: Interdiction
Cowboy11: "Griffin" Technical
Cowboy12: "Veiland" AA=2 AG=5 RTB
Cowboy13: "Elmo" AA=1 AG=6 EJT
Cowboy14: "Vosene" AA=0 AG=0 RTB

Mission Outcome: PS

Took off and on egress Griffin had a technical and dropped out and decided to not re-enter and be human AWACS. Elmo in number 3 took lead of Cowboy. On egress heard from escort flight that they were engaging so held at steerpoint 2 in a left hand turn.

Once route to target looked clear we proceeded to target in trail number 3 then 2 and then 4, no. 3 got 6 missiles off in one pass and number 2 got off 5 missiles, 4 came off target dry so went around for another pass, in the mean time 3 and 4 went a-a to provide cover engaging what we thought were enemy aircraft but they may have been friendly but did not get any buddy spike calls unfortunately.

Number 4 on second pass came off dry again at which point I called RTB, we were informed of J11 and Mig29A on our egress and could see Falcon flight engaging, no. 3 got a shot at the J11 which got destroyed and a shot at the Mig29 with No. 2 and 4 also engaging the Mig29's, after my shot I got a missile inbound went defensive but was unable to avoid and got shot down and ejected, no.2 was successful in his engagement taking out both Mig29's and then No. 2 and 4 returned home safely.
