Attention has been refocused on the eastern coast for our next task.

Your mission shall be to attack any and all troops on the coast road heading south. A target box has been created in which there are supply columns, HQ and armoured battalions of T-62 tanks. Each of these units is high value and good attrition is demanded.

There are SAM threats from an SA-15's in the HQ battalion, along with AAA.

While Kangnung AB is down, Sokcho to the north is fully operational and it's squadron of MiG-19MS fighters are active.

PACKAGE 2153

Plasma 7 - 4 x F-16C-50 - AI, Tacan 12/75, T/O 0556Z
Cyborg 4 - 4 x F-16C-50 - Escort, Tacan 13/76, T/O 0552Z

Weasel and Plasma MS Criteria - An average of three targets destroyed per aircraft, no losses from ground fire; PS an average of two targets destroyed per aircraft, max of one loss from ground fire.

NOTE Our JDAMs have been taken for use by other units and so will not be available.

Cyborg MS Criteria - No losses to the AI flight from enemy air activity, PS a maximum of one aircraft lost to enemy air activity.

MS

This was a fairly uneventful flight for the Escort. We egressed and climbed to FL260 and just after establishing on the CAP, we picked up a 2-Ship Mig19, hot on the target area. Knowing they posed little threat, we engaged anyway so they wouldn't be able to distract with the Strike flight from their mission. Fisty engaged both at long range in TWS, with Vosene following up in trail, but both aircraft were hit and destroyed in the first exchange. After this, there was little activity, apart from some Bogeys, approx 80 miles to the West, that posed no factor. We CAP'd until Weasel called Miller time, then followed them back for a very nice (even if I do say so myself) Overhead Break. Excellent comms and coordination and very impressive close formation flying, as expected from the CO of the Sqn!

The 4 things a wingman is allowed to say:

1.Two
2.Lead, you're on fire.
3.I'm bingo fuel.
4.I'll take the fat one.... :/

PS

Ingress was fine and boresiting was completed although 2 had a TGP issue at first.

Cyborg cleared the way and we prosecuted the area. 3 spotted the SA-15 launchers and dispatched them, making life easier for us to attack the other troops.

We were at FL210 AGL initially to stay out of the SA-15s envelope but this lowered once they had gone.

We set a clockwise circuit to prosecute the attack. 2 and 3 were successful to varying degrees but 1 wasted his munitions. (he has gone on another refresher course and this should not happen again). As we only killed eight targets we fell one short of the MS criteria. My bad.

We returned to base with a straight in approach as we were low on fuel.
