With Ponivke airbase out of action, our attention turns to Tivat airbase, home to Mig29As, Su25s and Mig21F-13s.

The main task for the package is the destruction of Tivat runway 14/32. Secondary task is search and destroy of any air defenses in the area.

Intel reports that the SA3 defending Tivat is missing its Low Blow FCR, so the opportunity should be taken to destroy SA3 launchers if possible. SA6 threat is also expected in the area.

Take note of the proximity of the Croatian (neutral) border and Dubrovnik airbase to the west of the target area.

Package 759
OCA Strike Cobra6 4x F-16C-50, IDM 1x, TCN 11/74
SEAD Beast6 4x F-16C-50, IDM 2x, TCN 12/75
Escort Plasma5 4x F-16C-50, IDM 3x, TCN 13/76

MS Tivat runway 14/32 destroyed, max 1 aircraft loss
PS Tivat runway 14/32 destroyed, max 2 aircraft losses

Flight Role: SEAD Escort

Beast 61: "Griffin" AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Beast 62: "Mango" AA=0 AG=8 RTB

MS

After getting lost on the taxi way we took off and proceeded to the target. We ended up a long way ahead of the escort as they had a tech that delayed their take off. Never the less we proceeded without coming across any enemy air threats and were free to engage the air bases defences.

Mango engaged the SA-3 battalion, successfully destroying all but three trucks. Good job there. I fired my HARMs at AAA to the south killing one Shilka and damaging a T-55.

The attack by Cobra was swift and we soon RTB'd with a straight in approach.

Flight role: OCA Strike

Cobra61: "Pegasus" AA=0, AG=2
Cobra62: "Vosene" AA=0, AG=2

MS

After dodging AI taxiing and parking like maniacs (one of them parked in the hangar which Vosene was still in), we set off direct to the target. We split our 16 SDBs onto the three runway sections (5,5,6) with all hitting the target precisely.

We then turned direct to home. Overhead break onto runway31 with no problems.

Lessons: We should brief the direction of the direction of the overhead break either before the mission, or on takeoff. We did a left hand break as we had seen the AI doing that when we were taxiing for takeoff, but Plasma5 didn't see that and did a right hand break.
I forgot the brevity call "Miller Time" for having dropped all SDBs on target.

Flight Role: Escort

PLASMA51: "Noodle" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
PLASMA52: "Gekko" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
PLASMA53: "Fisty" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
PLASMA54: "Jules" AA=0 AG=0 RTB

This will be a short one:
Delayed departure due to also getting lost on taxi, #2 had to rejoin a few times due to tech.
He eventually joined as we were arriving on station.
Uneventful flight, picture clear the whole time. OHB recovery on runway 31 (feet wet), needs to be briefed for next week as AI is doing the opposite.
Learning points:
-reminder for landing comms sequence: "downwind", "on the perch" then "on final" (on UHF).
