Expedited take-off behind Escort and Sweep due to a 29 on RWR but this quickly disappeared. Climbed to A24 with 2nm trail between aircraft and 10nm behind Sweep.
Coordinated with Escort to put them just behind us as we turned towards target 60nm out. Now in combat spread, we climbed for A28 and M0.9 for weapons release. Picked up a single slow mover landing at the airfield, no factor.
Flight all fired at 30nm, each firing 8 SDB at a single runway section. #1 and #3 both hit their targets, one on each runway to knock out the airbase. #2’s Bombs went very long and missed the target.
Off target we egressed East then turned to South and went into Fighting Wing. Picked up a 29 on RWR, a singleton Su-27 that was taken care of by the Escort while we checked away.
No further enemy contacts so we RTB’d carrying out a straight in approach onto R30.
Overall a fairly quiet mission with great coordination and mutual support across the package.

Despite #3 having technical issues with his sound, (no sound in the 3D except IVC), we managed to communicate trough TS as well as IVC (he could hear us but not transmit). 29 spike upon take off but dealt with by the patriot/F-22s.
No AWACS.
Peaceful ingress A26 on a beautiful night, box formation with 10NM between the elements, preceding COBRA7 and PANTHER3, F-22s were on station on time. At about 80NM to target, we picked up a slow and low target taking off the airfield, came off track to monitor but as no factor we reset stp5.
Hooked around stp5 for PANTHER3 to take the lead and came back behind them A35. Once PANTHER3 called miller time 1st element turned cold with them while #3 was monitoring the airbase for possible aircraft scrambled. On our 2nd hot leg, we picked up a singleton Su-27 from the SW and took care of it. Slotted back between PANTHER3 and COBRA7 on egress.
Planned straight in onto R30 and set a 2NM trail. Turning final we encountered a flight of F-35 and decided to go around. Forgetting to raise my gear I overspeed the aircraft which resulted in only 2greens. I asked #2 to move in position to check if my nose gear as lowered and cleared #3 and #4 to land. After visual confirmation from #2 that my nose wheel was out, I cleared us to land but #2 was such in a rush that he overtook me, and #4 who had to go around.
Flight landed safely except myself, with a collapsed landing gear but I managed to get off the runway.

We took off, flew around for a bit then came back!
That was essentially the story of our flight.
It started off with a little excitement when 29 spikes were on the RWR as we rolled for take-off. Our ADB became busy and the spike soon dropped from the RWR.
Co-ordination between flights was top drawer and the acmi showed a good cover and execution of the mission.
It only became a little hairy when coming in to land; a certain fence wreaker nearly took my nose off as I was on finals. But we all got home for tea and biscuits. A nice change.
