4-ship deep strike against two factory complexes. Separated N-S by 1nm.
High-low-high profile.
20nm from target descent to low-level. 2x Mk-84AIR pair drop per aircraft.
1st element engaging Northern target, 2nd element Southern. 1&3 combat spread, 2&4 3nm trail of their respective leads.
Execution
First departure was a ramp start. #2 had an issue with engine start. #1 had a “gear” failure on take-off. This is the same issue that Sabre had a few weeks ago. Maybe a bug, needs to be investigated.
Refragged mission with taxi start. Departure as fragged. Slow climb to A22 for fuel efficiency. No AD or Air threats during ingress. At IP combat descent to low-level then pressed on target. #1 and #3 hit their targets at same time. Some optically guided AAA coming off target, called by #1 to flight. #4 was 3nm trail and hit target as fragged. #2 was further behind and bombs didn’t release, may have been a HOTAS issue.
Coming off target stayed low-level and checked right 30 degrees to avoid AAA spike on RWR. Once feet wet combat climb to altitude to get out of MANPAD WEZ.
#2 recommitted to attack from opposite direction and hit target with both bombs before rejoining.
Went into 5nm box for egress. #2 had lowest fuel state due to second target pass at low level.
Pairs overhead break onto 16R and successful landings.
A good mission with great execution by everyone flying.
