More Factory Strikes


Continuing our effort to reduce the supply and fuel available to the DPRK war machine. Our mission this week targets 2 Machine Tool Factories and (if pilots are available) and SCUD-C factory and remnants of the P’Yongyang Nuclear Plant.

This is a night mission and a weather system has moved in, conditions are inclement at the airfields and poor over the target.



The package will consist of 3 flights: 2 Strike, and 1 Sweep – objectives are:

  • COWBOY1 – Processor and Factory at Taean Heavy Mach Works (STP7) and Kangso Mach Tool (STP8) --Departs from the 912th @ Yeoncheon TO= 1946

  • FURY1 – Assembly Bldg and Warehouse at the SCUD-C Factory (STP7) and the Transformers at the P’Yongyang Nuclear Plant (STP-8) --Departs from the 912th @ Yeoncheon TO= 1948

  • FALCON1 – Provide air cover for the package --Departs from the 911th @ Chongju TO= 1945


COWBOY1 – 4 ship equipped with GBU-54 L-JDAMs
The Weapons Officer has determined that the targets require the following ordinance:
… STP7 Processor – 3 GBU-54s … Factory – 2 GBU-54s
… STP8 Processor – 3 GBU-54s … Factory – 2 GBU-54s

FURY1 – – 4 ship equipped with GBU-54 L-JDAMs ___=== This flight is provided if more than 8 attend ===___
The Weapons Officer has determined that the targets require the following ordinance:
… STP7 Assembly Bldg – 2 GBU-54s … Warehouse – 1 GBU-54
… STP8 Transformers (X2) – 1 GBU-54 each
… Secondary targets should be other structures at the power plant (except reactors)
*** Targets are covered by optically aimed AAA ***

FALCON1 – 4 ship Sweep – Air cover/SEAD
… SA-11s in the area are believed to be out of supply, but a few AGM-88s should be taken as a precaution

Measured ingress to let COWBOY close the gap, once they were pending IP point, we split to scan wider and look for emitters. #2 found an UNK and SRCH and engaged both ... the UNK went quiet so the shot missed. #2 reported a pop-up AAA that was too close, so #1 snapped East and engaged the FireCan. When we set up our northern CAP, Lead noticed an SA-10 and moved north to engage and hit the FlapLid. We egressed and did a fun ILS with a side-step.
