Our attacks on the SA-11 sites in grid 3.9 showed that the supply
status of the units is critical. We will destroy an Underground Factory
in the north western part of grid 3.9.

The first picture shows the general situation and the flight paths.

The second picture shows the air defense picture around the factory.
Although there are briefed flight plans, flight leads are free to change
the ingress and egress routes of the flights for a better approach.

MS per pilot is RTB and a parked jet,
PS is given for RTB w/o proper parking the jet (crash on landing ...),

MF / ABORT

We took off as planned, was heading towards the FLOT and didn't get there since a mission abort was called. Never got near the target.
We burned for home and landed.

MF / Abort

The takeoff was uneventful and the ingress on time. Coming close to the flot we had 4 jamming contacts
on radar and informed the other flights to flex (not knowing that Snake flight lead was not on UHF tactical).
The contacts were 4 F/A-18 and #1 shot one down, #2's lock dropped. We turned cold to lurk the F/A-18
over to our air defenses. With some surprise we could see Snake1 flying straight for the bandits and
the incoming missiles. Three of Snake were shot down before we re-engaged and took 2 of the remaining
bandits down. The fourth headed north to escape, but with the SEAD down to one plane and without
Harms the mission was aborted.
