The attack on Toksan Airbase was a success; the runways are destroyed.
Our next tactical move would be to attack the airbases to the north
west, but the DPRK have assembled several batallions in grid 4.6
and we will fly AI strikes to protect our troops.

The first screen shows the general situation.
The second screen shows the tactical situation in grid 4.6 with units
coming down a road in a n-w/s-e direction and multiple groups along
the front line. The main focus is on full strength and fresh batallions
to delay their offensive operations.

Intel has information about an offensive, starting at 19:15hrs,
supported by F-16 from the north western airbases.
So your time over target is limited.

Package 11122

Snake2, Viper2 and Weasel2 are four ship AI flights.
MS success is 12 targets destroyed per flight, PS is given for 6 targets destroyed.

Stud2 is the four ship escort.
MS is no air losses to the package with a PS for two losses max.

Snake2 and Stud2 are from the 911th squadron and take off from Chongju AB,
while Viper2 and Weasel2 are from the 912th squadron at Yeonchon.

IDA will be from Stud2.
Snake2 is package commander.

Timings:

Flight Task TO PP TOT IDM VHF TACAN	FL

Snake2 AI 18:49	18:57	19:02 1 1 11/74	240
Stud2 Escort	18:47	18:56	19:01 2 2 16/79	280
Viper2 AI 18:48	19:02	19:08 3 3 21/84	250
Weasel2 AI 18:50	19:04	19:10 4 4 26/89	230

Flight path is fixed for mutual support.
The weather is fair at home plates and at the target.

Good Hunting

Floyd

We kept to the plan, only got up to angels 22, before we had to start looking for targets.

From the PP, we split the flight and one element engaged East, the other West.

On the 1st pass #2 got hit by the magic BB, way up high, so he had to RTB from that point, having only fired 2 missiles.

We guided him home and Vosene managed to land his plane ok, in spite of all his damaged systems.

Good mission overall.

We also kept to the plan and established CAP over the target area.
When hostiles came in from the north we initially told AI flights to continue as fragged, as we could engage them safely away from the other flights.
Nearing the end of the briefed timeslot, airspace got saturated and we called millertime but not before loosing FlyingStone despite him staying outside the briefed MAR of 20nm with a healthy margin (23nm according to ACMI) Something to consider for future missions where we risk coming up against F-16.
Other than that good mission.

Good work from Scruffy and Echion,

Fairly uneventful, followed the flight plan, delayed for a short time. Mindful of time limits on target.
