The vote this week again has us on a combined OCA and TASMO package in the NE.
OCA/TASMO The OCA flight to attack Toksan shall be Green (Fury 1). Blue (Lobo 1) shall fly the TASMO to destroy four tankers, two at Kosong and two at Hamhung naval bases. Both flights shall depart from Choongwon.
Black will fly Panther 1 from Hoengsong on Escort duty.
Package number is 16530.
The route is fixed for all, with all with the exception of target and CAP points for AI and Escort respectively. Timings to the target are set as follows;
Panther 1 : TO 1750, SP3 1758 (A25), SP4 1804 (A28+), SP5 1810 (A28+), SP7 (Toksan) 1814 (A28+) Fury 1 : TO 1751, SP3 1757 (A22), SP4 1804 (A25), SP5 1810 (A25), SP7 (Toksan) 1815 (500') Lobo 1 : TO 1753, SP3 1800 (A22), SP4 (Kosong NB) 1807 (A15), SP5 1813 (A25), SP7 (Hamhung NB) 1814 (A15)
Weapon choice is free, with the usual exceptions.
Package commander on this shall be the Escort lead.
 Fig 1 - Route
Mission Success OCA - Both runways destroyed ( at least three sections per runway out of action) with no losses to ground fire. TASMO - All four tankers destroyed with no losses to ground fire. Escort - No losses to strike flights from enemy air assets.
Partial Success OCA - Both runways destroyed ( at least two sections per runway out of action) with no losses to ground fire. TASMO - At least one tanker at each port destroyed with no losses to ground fire. Escort - One loss to strike flights from enemy air assets.
The SU-27s and MiG-29S's from Nanchodka seem to be active but limited in numbers so be alert.
AWACs will be on station but may be out of range for info as you reach the northern most targets.

I suggest we fly - as Vosene posted - the 32bit version this Sunday.
Please start the 32bit BMS and try to connect even without server running. If never used before you might see a window from the firewall asking to allow the connection. Nothing more to configure. |

Flight Role: TASMO Stud11: "Vosene" AA=0 AG=2 RTB Stud12: "FlyingStone" AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Mission Outcome: MS
Plan - Follow in the other TASMO, Lobo1, and engage the two Northern most tankers using JDAM.
Uneventful ingress apart from some minor AAA near the Southern tankers so we climbed above A30 to avoid. Other flights were calling AAA over Northern tankers area so we stayed high to remain outside of WEZ. 1 and 2 successfully engaged targets with 4x JDAM on each, 2x shack and 1 also got a crane.
Egress and landing uneventful.
Overall a good flight with good package comms.

Flight Role OCA Fury11: "Ironman" 0/0 RTB Fury12: "Mango" 0/0 RTB Fury13: "Fisty" 0/1 RTB Fury14: "Scruffy" 0/1 RTB
Mission outcome To be decided on ACMI - but all bombs hit ;0)
Mig 29 spikes while we were still on the ground - got airborne quickly and kept the Migs nose cold until we handed off to Escort Flight then resumed our flight plan.
Target run had some AAA but nothing serious - all bombs off in one pass then RTB.
Landing - Lots of comms as 3 flights were all in the same airspace - Mango missed the call cancelling a straight in approach - my bad I should have checked. Also I put out chaff and flares on the break - apologies, must retrain my right thumb not to do that in future.

Flight Role TASMO
Lobo11: ZIPGUN 0/2 RTB Lobo12: WILDCAT 0/1 RTB Lobo13: POPPY 0/1 RTB
Mission Outcome: MS
INGRESS was uneventful, we climbed to attack altitude and first element released ordinance as planned. We could confirm hits and the tanker's sinking via TGP, so #3 was split to act as a backup for Stud. When Stud confirmed their targets were sunk, #3 proceeded to a "bonus" target nearby.
Wireshark data shows a reduction in average uploads from both the 64 bit test and the FO test last week (where control surfaces were on). We can speculate that setting surfaces to 0 is working and the 32 bit client gives reduced upload traffic with no noticeable reduction in game play

In order to get to the front of the package we did a powerburn to 25.000. Lost AWACS before steerpoint 4 so had to STT lock all contacts and listen for a buddy spike reply. Besides Furys's 29 contact report we had jamming contacts north of steerpoint 4 over the sea, in the area where the briefing showed hostiles, but turned out to be friendlies. We had a jamming contact heading north 80 nm in front of us, but no factor. Second element carried Harm's and took out some Fire Cans but still quite a lot of AA over second target area. Uneventful RTB |
