Flight Role: STRIKE
Cobra11: "Vaughan" AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Cobra12: "Elmo" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Cobra13: "Floyd" AA=0 AG=1 RTB

Mission Outcome: MF

Plan
Get up to A25 in 1nm spread, loiter in a racetrack between STP 3 and STP 7 until SEAD and ESCORT cleared us in to target. Go trail with 1nm between each aircraft and descent to NOE. 1 to attack primary target, 2 to attack primary and secondary targets, 3 to attack secondary target. This should result in 3x AGM-65Gs on each target, ensuring each target's destruction.

Execution
On takeoff, we had MiG25 spikes to the north. We turned south east so that the other flights could deal with them. Climbed to altitude and proceeded to STP 3 without incident. I put the flight into a right hand turn to STP 7 to loiter when I was advised that the SA11 over target was active but not firing. I called the flight into trail and we went low level. About 45 seconds later, 6 rifles had been fired and all 3 aircraft were off target, heading south. We regrouped at STP 3 and RTB.

Result
Unfortunately neither of my 65Gs hit the apartment building, despite having a positive lock and being fired well within parameters. Elmo's 65G didn't hit it either. The building was damaged when one of my 65Gs destroyed a ground unit which was in the vicinity.

I'm not sure if we would have had more success with lofting a GBU31, which was the other idea.

All in all, a really enjoyable flight. Great flying from Elmo and Floyd, fantastic support from both SEAD and ESCORT and excellent inter-flight comms. Thanks everyone!
