Panther1 Sead escort Panther11 Mango AA1 AG1 RTB Panther12 Wolfman AA0 AG0 EJT Panther13 Novac AA1 AG0 MS
Took off climbed to angels29 as fragged. Informed by chalice of enemy flight to our west also spiked by them. Understood the enemy was being engaged by escort so turned north to avoid engagement only to spot another enemy flight on our nose, also called by chalice. Decided to engage and lost 2 and 3 in the skirmish. At this point 1 disengaged went heads down and took out the SA2 at SP 5. Also took a shot at the SA2 at SP 6 but apparently missed. Encountered a lone Mig 25 damaged him with heater and while trying to gun him down he succumed to his injury and exploded right in front of me. Stayed arround target till the strike RTBd and then RTBd until the server crashed. Good calls by Chalice. Should have prepared ourselves better for A2A went in without plan for that eventuality. Good heater exercise and thanks for a good TE Wolfman.

Lobo1 Strike Lobo11 Floyd AA1 AG2 RTB Lobo12 AI AA0 AG0 RTB Lobo13 Elmo AA0 AG3 RTB Lobo14 AI AA0 AG0 RTB MS
Took off climbed to 20k as fragged. We were ordered to loiter due to the air threats. The SEAD flight was intercepted by bandits and #1 came a bit late to shoot down one MiG-29s. At that time #3 was proceeding towards the second target. We snoozed our radar and attacked the targets as briefed.

Python1 Escort Panther11 Floyd AA0 AG0 KIA Panther12 AI AA0 AG0 EJT Panther13 Griffom AA0 AG0 EJT Panther14 AI AA0 AG0 RTB MF
Mission Plan: Escort and apply single side offset,2vs1 (azimuth and height separation) tactics against Mig29S,Mig25 since we had only Aim9X.Detach 1st element and act as a close escort while the
Execution, shots made: 2 ship mig29S from the West.Excellent initial tactics. Textbook single side offset from #3, excellent azimuth and vertical split from #2, excellent timed beam at 15 Nm from the 1st Element, allowing #3 to attack from the flank. 2Shots made, 2 damages. Then it all went bad. #1 and #2 turned to re-engage. Shot made from #1, visual splash, then turned notheast to engage newly reported bandits. Then all of a sudden, 29 spike on my 6, from a smoking 29S, engaged defensively, got target fixated looking back, crashed to the ground. Rest of the flight was jumped by a 4ship Mig25 and was downed.
****ty performance on by behalf, sorry about that.
Lessons learned: Set hard deck!!!!! RL pilots set it to 5000-6000 for a reason. It's there to give you the "Altitude Altitude" wake up call when you get disoriented. I always had it at 100ft, because it was "annoying". Better be annoyed that dead. Change of personal SOP for me.
Excellent TE wolfman. Made people think out of the box and apply WVR tactics they have propably forgotten.
