Flight Role: DCA Falcon11: "Floyd" AA=3 AG=0 RTB Falcon12: "Elmo" AA=4 AG=0 RTB Falcon13: "Griffin" AA=1 AG=0 RTB Falcon14: "Oly" AA=1 AG=0 RTB Mission Outcome: MS In the briefing we changed the cold-hot-leg towards a north-south direction to have one element hot on any bandits. Due to the crosswinds we did a rolling takeoff and climbed to ang 25 with burners on. The changed waypoints didn't show up on all HSDs, so we needed one round to set markpoints for further operations. Next problem were missing communications with the second flight. AWACS announced incoming bandits from the north and we engaged. This first group was followed by a 4-ship MiG-27 that was shot down by the second flight. Another group came in from the west and tried to attack the transports on a more southern route, but was shot down, also by the second flight. While my flight was supporting and off our planned route, we picked up a pair of fighters from the north. Good comms and quick sorting allowed us to shoot both bandits down. Flying back, escorting the air lift, was uneventful. But close to the airfield two or three planes exploded for no reason. An excellent, eventful and fine-tuned mission by Novac. S!

Looks like I'll fill in the gaps for Green flight, not sure where Sabre has got to..
Flight Role: DCA Lobo 11: "Sabre" AA=0 AG=0 KIA Lobo 12: "Joif" AA=4 AG=0 RTB Lobo 13: "Blade" AA=1 AG=0 KIA Lobo 14: "Mango" AA=1 AG=0 KIA
My details are sketchy so please correct me in I'm wrong green flight.
Our planned brief was to separate the elements to have a cold leg and hot leg from steerpoint 3 to 5.
After take off and burning to angels 25 it wasn't long until we started getting AWACS calls for an incoming flight of MiG-31's approaching from the south west as we were headed to Steerpoint 3. The MiG31's initially fired on myself at extremely long range to which I was forced defensive, it followed shortly by Sabre getting downed and Blade were also lost by long range missiles, once we had dealt with the 31's it looks like during this time a MiG 27 flight were able to close in rapidly and a furball had nearly broken out if Fury flight hadn't assisted.
After this choatic beginning we had lost both Flight lead and Element Lead which left us somewhat tumbleweed until Mango and myself rejoined to get our bearings after some comms issues, which were mainly down to my inexperience with IVC and the mix and match TS-IVC does no favours, I was also not expecting to be thrust into lead slot so early on.
Mango and myself then proceeded to patrol from steerpoint 3-5 as fragged. After heading towards steerpoint 3 on a hotleg we got jamming contacts approaching from the south west of steerpoint 3 and turned to intercept AWACS confirmed these to be a 4 ship of MiG 29's. (Rookie mistake no.1 incoming) by then fury flight had offered to support to which at the time I denied (no idea why.. cocky mode must have been still engaged from the surviving the previous skirmishes). Our plan was to get breakthrough as soon as possible get as many cheap shots off on the 29's and abort before 25nm and fall-back to fury for support, I managed to hit 2 Migs and I believe Mango hit another before he got hit by a AA-12. Then Fury flight assisted to clean up the mess.
Shortly after this I got dropped from the server so had an uneventful flight RTB.
Enjoyed the mission although not much had gone to plan for us, but I gained some valuable experience.
