This week the teams conducted some very effective Pre Plan Close air support missions against the enemy ground forces threatening the northward advance of the US armoured column. Scores were extremely tight, with very little to choose between the teams in terms performance indicating a generally high standard all round.

Congratulations to 1.5 Pie who once again take the honours, but with a significantly reduced margin of 8 points, there really was very little to choose between the performance of the top 2. All 3 teams managed to keep the US HQ intact so earning the 50 points bonus on offer. Well done to the Euroteam, with a greatly improved performance from a full team on both sorties. Iron Hand suffered severe technical problems which were not resolved until too late to fly the missions on time, so their deadline to fly Phase 3 has been extended on compassionate grounds.
Very well flown to everyone who took part.
Next week the teams fly a discretionary period where they can choose to fly OCA , SEAD or Pre PLan CAS in order to prepare the way for the final deep strike mission in phase 5.
Each sortie must be either a OCA Strike, SEAD Strike or PrePlan CAS but you can mix mission types between sorties. The choice of what type of mission you fly will depend on your campaign state.
