Flight leads from the large scale BMS mission flown on Sunday 15th January, "Operation Bear Hunting" are requested to post a debrief of their flights actions, including any lessons learned or that should be learned by others.

SEAD Escort
Falcon11: Vosene AA=0, AG=0, RTB

Mission Outcome: Partial Success
Problems from start to finish for Falcon1. No comms with Falcon12 or Chalis1 on IVC made things very difficult.
Approaching the FLOT we were engaged by a group of MiG-25, #1 turned defensive, #2 was shot down and #3 crashed into the ground while evading a missile.
#1 made the decision to RTB but on the way back had a connection drop out and was disconnected from the server.
Lesson - Need to get IVC comms working correctly for everyone.
Sabre, please post any LOAs for Green Flight.

Mission outcome: Success
We took off as scheduled and flew north. At we approached the flot we were fired upon by SU27's. We went low level and veered towards the NE to avoid air and ground threats. After continuing we landed at mandumi for extra fuel. Then took off again, continuing low level, following valleys for terrain masking. At about 35 miles from target Cowboy flight was looking for the SA17's at Koksan. So, we carried on as fragged. We redirected our flight to the NE of Koksan and came in over the mountain so that we had terrain cover until the last moment. Took out both runways and egressed to the north. With plenty of fuel we could use full afterburner for the egress at low level. On the way back to base we were fired on by mirage 2000's, but we were already fast and low so all missiles were easily evaded. Both planes in the flight landed successfully at the alternate

Onroute to steerpoint 3 we had both Fury and Falcon ahead of us, and a jamming contact ahead of them. This was early in the TE and people were still sorting out teamspeak/IVC issues so the radio was silent ref the contact. When we got mig-29 spiked we turned away towards the East until Challis came on line and cleared us to head North towards the target area.
By now SEAD escort was reduced to a single aircraft and RTB. So we diverted around various threat circles. We picked up target SA-17 battalion on the HTS, however were unable to move HTS cursor to get a radar fix on location. It was usefull though, to have the HTS pod onboard as it pointed us in the right direction of the SA-17 battalion. So it was a case of trying to pick them out with Maverick camera and A2G radar. While searching we were approached by a 2 ship Mig-25 from the West. Fury were over to the East and came over to assist, but by that time Cowboy were already engaged, and went on to defeat the bandits. Cowboy 1 staryed over the SA-17 battalion. One way to find em! but pay'd the price in being shot down. Cowboy 2 was the first to find them and successfully destroyed several vehicles before also being shot down by an SA-17.
Cowboy 4 also engaged the SA-17's destroying several vehicles and helping to achieve a partial success, before both Cowboy 13 & 14 RTB's safely.
