I like it already! Some things are more obvious then others, but all in all I think the layout is more clear and I really like the options to post polls and send private messages.
Edit: I just saw the button titled 'upload' which I thought was worth mentioning |

OK two things on my mind, bandwidth and disk space.
I guess pilots would like to be able to insert pictures in their posts rather than links and perhaps share some interesting files etc.
Bandwidth I can manage by restricting downloads to members only. Diskspace is another matter, you boys will need to learn how to manage your picture and file sizes.
Did you know a screenshot from Falcon is saved as a 2.5 Mb BMP file? Open it and save it as a jpg, it comes down to 190 kb... now this is more like it, but still too large for the web site, we just don't need that amount of detail in a picture on the computer screen.
How big should it be? You should be able to reduce the physical size of the picture to no wider than 550 pixels and the file size to less than 50K. It will still look good on the computer screen and print with acceptable quality on a printer.
ACMI tapes. These can be zipped to about 20% of their original size.
TACS, HOTAS setups are generally <20kb so no real issue. BUT I have just zipped the latest TAC file "Double Hit" size 19 Kb and it reduced to 13 Kb, every little helps. Briefings - these are usually bloated because a screen shot is incorporated without editing to reduce the size. In word dragging the sides of an image only reduces the magnification, not the true size.
Bottom line edit your images before inserting in word to keep the file size down. Be kind to those still stuck with 56K modems.
If you don't have an image editor, e.g. Adobe Photoshop or Paintshop Pro, then use irfanview from www.irfanview.com this is free and excellent.
Remember to crush those pictures and zip those files and I will be looking to allow upload of images to posts and allocate disk space for members personal files.
Feel free to comment.
