Command are pleased to announce the launch of PJC's 2v2 competition.
The 185th VFS 2v2 competition will be a round robin format (all teams fly against all others once). Teams can consist of any 2 pilots from the 185th roster as shown on the web-site. One person will be the nominated Team Captain.
Entries for the inaugural 185th VFS 2v2 competition will begin from 17 March 2009 and deadline for receipt of team entries will be 04 April 2009.
The first matches will be flown week commencing Sunday 05 April 2009 and one match will be flown per week, with the fixture list published in advance by PJC.
Default match time will be Tuesday evenings from 2000hrs UK; however the matches may take place at anytime during the week by mutual agreement of the teams.
Matches will be strictly 1 hour in length, 30 minutes flown as attackers, 30 minutes flown as defenders. Overall result of the match will be the combined score from both missions.
For full details check out the competition rules here
So come on, prove you're the best and sign a team up below before the deadline.

I am in, but with a question. Loadouts? All free for both? Dim

Focus,
PJC, as the XO and organiser of the competition, will make a decision on whether to suspend the competition over the Easter holiday period but I'm sure we can make arrangements for those away over this period even if we don't suspend the competition.
Also please note that only active members of the Sqn can fly in the competition. You are most welcome to join in as long as you can commit to becoming an Active member again ie you need to be able to fly in 50% of Sunday TEs.

As Theron says it is covered in the rules but for ease of reference:
A2A loadout is 4x AiM-9P for each defender and for the attackers free-fall bombs + 2xAim-9M and 6x-Aim-9p split between the two aircraft (but this is subject to final confirmation).

So far then we have:
Vosene - Tiag Panther -Helldiver Crowebar - Ballistic Ghostrider - TBA
Roll up Roll up, there's room for a few more teams and there must be a willing partner for Ghostrider out there. Volunteers please put your name to this thread. Remember it is only a one hour midweek commitment on a flexible schedule by mutual arrangement of the teams. There was lots of fun had testing this scenario and the competition proper is sure to be fun.
