i take your point vosene, it was in my question anyway, to quote myself: "are there any exceptions that myself or anyone else should be aware of?"

I don't believe anyone is calling into question the value of the job Snakebite is doing, rather seeking clarification of what in the SOP9.1 can and cannot be ignored/bent.
Several months back a 50 mile border was introduced, but today its not an issue cos there was nothing in the pot. Rules are rules, irrespective of Douglas Bader said. There is no point in having rules for creating TEs if they are not to be adhered to. Or are we to take it that if we TE builders abide by the rulebook we are all fools, in which case we should ignore the whole SOP entirely and let our creative sides take over? I have some storming missions on the HD just dying to be let out of the sack - unfortunately every one of them contradicts SOP9.1 in some way, so...
Theron has asked a simple yet very valid question on three occassions now, and is yet to receive a satisfactory answer. Simply referring him to read SOP9.1 does not compute (in my mind) cos there is a direct contradiction. Surely its not too much to ask for someone from Command to step up to the plate and answer what is ultimately a pretty straightforward question? Or is that in contradiction to some SOP somewhere also? |

Snakebite,
I appreciate your hard work and responsibility for the sunday night te's. To prevent such big discussions on the forum i suggest the te writer goes through the te personally with the OPSO. Maybe a OPSO 2IC would help, so SB is not alone responsible for the outcome while he has help from a differnt angle of view?
I therefore request a meeting asap with you SB to get thoroughly through the deepest and dirtiest secrets of my 2 te's i want to send you.
sincerely

His "Very Valid Question" has been answered privately. And he received a satisfactory answer two days ago.
If anyone has any question(s) regarding SOP9 or TE's then you need to contact me by e-mail. I will not answer anything posted on the forum regarding SOP9, and it will be ignored.
I have nothing else to say, other than thanking Vosene for clearing things up.

I have followed the links and I haven't seen anything that clearly states it is SOP 9.1 reference document.
Further I have noted the allegation that certain posts have been deleted - why?
My questions can wait until the SO meeting this week.
