Our Situational Awareness series continues with a lesson on fusing sensor information from the 3 critical avionic systems you need in order to maintain a basic standard of SA, the air-to-air radar, RWR and HSD.
Before jumping into the cockpit we will review the FCR radar modes and RWR functions in a little detail then fly round a series of steerpoints while giving students the opportunity to find various air targets using the FCR, sort using the HSD then lock them up.
We will also practice determining which is our assigned target without locking it up by combining the information provided by the RWR and FCR.
The lesson will start at 1930UK on Wednesday 12 September.
