Hi all,
For a while ago we had a small group with Tiger as the responsible for the squadron video, now that Tiger are away for some time(we expect Tiger will be back in a not to fare future )Now we need someone new to take on where Tiger left, and continue the production of our video. I would like to see some voluntary that take up the production again.So guys if you know your way around with Fraps and can spare some hours and participate in the makings of the 185th introduction video. Please indicate you interest here and we will come back to you and discuss how we will progress,first with a informal meeting where we discuss the criteria.

Hi Tracer, i'm about to write scenario for short (8-10 min.) movie. It will based on 2 ship Deep Strike, with AWACS, 2 ship Escort and lots of action. Migs will be controled by human pilots !
Soundtrack for movie will be mostly from "The Rock" and "Gladiator". I need no more then 4 volunteers. Anyone interested ?

i can do the video editing and so on, got some decent expirience there.
only problem i have is fraps - or well, i guess my graphics driver. i cannot capture more than like 1-2 min until just a messed up static picture is being captured :((
if anyone knows help, let me know

I've got Fraps 2.5. I'll fly and capture as required. I do have the same problem as Medic though. We should be able to work with it.

Unfortunately I cannot commit to the new project due to my non-availability during the week but I have been involved in all the previous work to develop the 185th videos going right back to when Focus was running the show. When the new project leader has been identified I would be happy to talk them through the issues we faced and how we overcame them so that they don't need to re-learn all of the lessons learned. Just drop me an e-mail and we can set something up.
I would also like to say something about the idea that has been behind the 185th video project since it started:
There are many videos of Falcon available on the internet but very few, if any, show what it is like to fly Falcon in a multi-player environment. The 185th video aims to change that. Rather than have loads of music and shots of F-16s in fly-by we want to include real voice comms and much more in-cockpit stuff to give an idea of the extra level of immersion that is provided by flying Falcon with other humans. That, after all, is the reson d'etre of our Sqn and this video is supposed to promote and develop interest in the 185th.

And this is exactly what i will try to do Vosene. Not sure if any of u saw "Strike at Kuksan" but that movie gives me an inspiration how our movie should looks like. And yes i want to include TeamSpeek voice also from AWACS. Two guys in the air while third on the ground recording.

Ok gentlemen many thnx for you interest in making the Sqdr video.We will need someone responsible for the video group therefor command are looking for voluntary for that post?? There are a number of technical issues to deal with before we can start to produce the video,like Fraps version, file size,upload file that tends to be very big,possibillity to edit video etc.So we should face the reallity its not done as qiuck as it might looks likes.SO meeting have agree up on the content of the video or at least the basic criteria as follows :It was agreed that no music should be in it, except perhaps for titles and credits, and that the video should concentrate on human TS comms, a good portion of action and the multi-player experience, A squadron skin for the video will be prepared by Griffin.So with this in mind lets find a time for the first video group meeting please let us know your preference of day and time for the meeting? post your reply here and we take it form there on
