MANDUMI MADNESS

The opening words of the Falcon 4 war, "Mandumi is under attack" are played out for real, as massed Armour hastens toward the ROK outpost, your task is to interdict these ground forces in support of ROK ground units in an attempt to slow the attack, escort is provided as Mainly low grade enemy aircraft are expected to be operating in a similar supporting role, the DPRK not yet wanting to commit much of it's more valuable assets so soon into the conflict, weapons are not fixed for any flight in the package as there are no shortages, however it should be born in mind that as many tanks as possible need to be destroyed to have a real impact on the attack, finding the enemy units is half the job, figuring out your best attack profile to achieve the goal is the other, with staying alive your top priority, good hunting!

There are a wide variety of aircraft available to fly, including F16, F18, F15C, F14 and A10.

This tac contains some six consecutive missions, all takeoff times comply with the latest SOP, 2 minute intervals between all flight including DPRK, so there should be a minimum amount of in any ATC probs, It is an ideal .tac for a LAN meet, but works equally well online, to fly the whole thing through will probably need about 4.5 hrs or a bit more.

The key to success (which ought to be measured by a good number of Tank and vehicle kills rather than Falcons interpretation) is thorough RECON, enemy units are both moving and stationary, so mark their positions with fixed land marks, towns etc, noting the current disposition and general direction of the column lineup. This will help to avoid any Blue on Blue incidents, which as the Battle progresses become more and more likely.

Thorough RECON is a major part of any real life situation, as much if not more time goes into planning a mission as goes into actually flying it, if you treat the mission with this kind of professional approach, not only will you have a greater chance of success, you will find that the experience will be far more enjoyable and realistic than if you just have a quick scan of the map and hope you find some targets when you get there, this rushed approach really makes it a bit "arcade game".

The TE is created for your enjoyment, so I hope all who have a go, have fun!
