The Squadron Information section contains, as the name suggests, information about the 185th Reservoir Dogs Virtual Fighter Squadron (VFS). Here you will find information about the 185th VFS history and also the documents and files that we use in our online activities. If you are thinking about joining the 185th VFS, please take your time reading through all the documents found in here before you submit your application. You may read, but not post to our forum and some parts of the 185th Forum are restricted to members of the squadron. If you wish to get in touch with us, use the contact page.

On the About Us page you can read about the history of the 185th and about the general guidelines from which we operate. If you are accepted into the 185th VFS, the Introduction Document is there to prepare you for your initial time in the squadron and it is required reading if you have just joined as a new pilot.

Of course, the better prepared you are before joining the faster you will be able to just focus on flying your virtual Viper, so if you are thinking about joining, go ahead and read through it for further insight into what is expected from you as a pilot in the 185th Reservoir Dogs. Once you have read through the material and if you find it to your liking, go ahead and submit your application to the 185th.

To aid new members get up to speed with how we run this squadron and to remind old veterans, we also have the 185th Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

This is very official sounding, but that is not the intention. The intention is to have some general rules put down on print. Rules that we all should strive to follow, e.g. SOP #01 covers what patch of Falcon 4 we are currently using and how it should be installed before flying online with the squadron.

This to ensure that all pilots have similar installations, thus greatly improving online stability.

The Files Archive are divided into three parts, Required Files, Recommended Files and 185th Files.

185th Files:
These files are optional and is just what it sounds like, i.e. files that are specific to our squadron, like skins with our tail art, the patches for the different flights, document templates, etc.
Required Files:
Here you will find all files, with the exception of the files that will be sent to you by your flight leader once you are placed in a flight, that are you must have installed before you can participate in online flying with the 185th VFS.
Recommended Files: These files are also optional. They will either assist and make your life as a virtual pilot a little bit easier or possibly enhance your experience inside or outside of the cockpit.

Hints & Kinks is a section with either inks to other websites or documents prepared by members of the 185th Reservoir Dogs VFS. What they have in common is that they provide helpful hints that will make for greater enjoyment of this great hobby.

Thanks to all the authors for a job well done!
