Enemy forces have been resupplied and we have to support our units
on their push to the north.
The picture shows the area around our target, the 171st Tank Battalion.
A second battalion - not shown on the map - is the 280th Supply Battalion;
last known postion was a few miles to the west, around waypoint 5 on the map.
Package 18179
Shark2 and Snake2 are 4-ship AI flights.
Mission success is given for 50% hit ratio of fired munition,
PS is given for 25% hit.
Cobra2 is a 4-ship TARCAP flight.
Mission success is given for no losses to Shark and Snake by A2A,
PS is given for 50% loss max.
All flights are from the 4329th squadron, flying the F-16CM-52,
taking off from Hatzerim.
IDM will be from human pilot in Cobra2.
Shark21 is package commander.

MS (12 kills out of 20 shots)
Ingressed from out to sea to the west and held short of TGT while Shark1 investigated a singing SA2. Once cleared hot, we located targets and racetracked in trail. No3 called off with a tech problem with his mavericks. Shortly after, Snake requested support to check his 6. Picked up a stack of 6 enemy aircraft (Mig21s and SU25s) inbound, so engaged on those, covering Shark's escaped, who was down to a singleton.
Once cleared, we RTB'd with element taking the lead straight in, joining the pattern at Base Leg, as they were fuel critical. Nos 1 & 2 took a more sedentary route for a straight in approach. |

MS (6 kills out of 7 shots)
Normal INGRESS, until we were both engaged by an SA-2 prior to sorting targets. The weather was an issue, driving us to an altitude lower that the SA-13 kill range. As a consequence, #2 was hit and killed having fired one maverick.
I maintained a CAP while SNAKE2 engaged and fired on 2 Mig-25s only wounding them ... SNAKE came north and finished them off. Being bingo fuel, I was RTB and landed with a plentiful 312lbs to spare. |
