Operation SOLID TRUSS – Mission 33 – Sunday 30th August 2026

[CLASSIFIED: SECRET (185th VFS Eyes Only)

Campaign Objectives:

1. Stop the Egyptian Armoured Advance through the Sinai - Complete
2. Achieve Air Superiority ?
3. Hold ALL Israeli Airbases - Complete
4. Prevent a second armoured advance – In progress

SITUATION:

Following another successful mission to destroy the last crossing point over the Suez, a number of Egyptian ground units were able to cross into Sinai and present a clear threat to Israeli forces securing key objectives in Central Sinai.

To prevent these units advancing further east, the 185th VFS is tasked with interdiction before they can advance further and hinder Israeli ground forces in their mission.

Scheme of manoeuvre:

JAGUAR4 and SATAN7 are designated as Air Interdiction, tasked with conducting Search & Destroy operations within 2 separate kill boxes (see Mission Overview above). Priority targets are armoured vehicles/air defence.

HOG3 (F15C) and VIPER7 (F16I-52+ SUFA) are both designated as DCA, tasked to protect JAGUAR4 and SATAN7 from enemy air during their ground operation. Either of these flights can be aborted in the event of insufficient pilot numbers for either frame.

Recent weeks have seen an increase in enemy air activity over western Sinai. No SAM activity has been detected in the AO but pilots should remain alert to the AAA/MANPAD threat if conducting low level attacks.

SUPPORT

Under pressure from the Egyptian Government and other neighbouring states, NATO has withdrawn its support and AWACs aircraft from RAF Akrotiri will no longer be available. However, Israeli G550 AEW aircraft may be tasked shortly following an urgent resupply request.
