CLASSIFIED: SECRET (185th VFS Eyes Only)
Situation
The recent threat posed by SAM sites West of the Suez has largely been neutralised. The remaining elements are not a current priority. Friendly forces continue to concentrate East of the FLOT preparatory to an advance West across the Suez. The current air threat is low but friendly air supremacy is not yet achieved.
INTEL
G2 reports indicate the presence of a regimental size armoured force advancing East in the vicinity of Bir Gifgafa airbase. Their intention is unclear but they may be the advance elements of a larger, as yet, unconfirmed force. The confirmed composition is as follows: 111 Mech Batt, 112 Mech Batt and 30 Armd Batt. The force contains large numbers of AFVs, APCs and refuelling vehicles. The presence of the fuel bowsers is significant.
Mission
The 185th squadron will attack and destroy enemy units North of Bir Gifgafa at TOT 08:38:17 last known location N 30.27.561 / 33.04.645. to prevent their advance East.
Execution
Two flights of F16 Sufa will attack the enemy force supported by a flight of F15C.
4x F-16 Sufa (185th VFS), Nevatim AB – c/s Panther 2– AI – T/O Time: 08:38:12 – LSR: 161X.
4x F-16 Sufa (185th VFS), Nevatim AB – c/s Cobra 6 – AI – T/O Time: 08:40:14 – LSR: 162X.
4x F-15C (186th VFS), Nevatim AB – Rumble 6 – DCA – T/O Time: 08:36.
Command and Signals
Flight leads as designated. Comms as per SOPs and briefing document.
SUPPORT
NATO continues to authorise logistical and EW support to Israeli forces. Whilst NATO forces are not permitted to engage in active combat with Egyptian forces (unless fired upon), UN Charter 11979 has authorised limited use of AEW capability.
Weapons
Free loadout at Flight Lead discretion.

2. Air - No losses to enemy air assets.
Partial Success:

1a. If AI ground jettison required, maximum 1 loss to enemy air
2. Air – Maximum 1 loss to enemy air assets.
