Our OCA strikes have been effective in keeping the MiG-29S squadrons at the front line quiet. The last mission highlighted another one. Zemunick AB on the coast caused our escort flight a few issues last time out, so we need to put it and it's air defences out of action.
We have now been supplied with Block 50 Vipers, so our attacking options are wider and more effective.
Zemunick has at least two fully operational AAA battalions. Hammer2, a two-ship DEAD is tasked with destroying as much of these as possible.
The destruction of the two runways (which are at right angles to each other) shall fall to Jaguar5.
Protection of Jaguar and Hammer shall fall to Satan3, a four-ship escort flight of Vipers.

The updated position of the FLOT has been indicated.
Note that there will be no AWACs available for this mission.

The weather is clear at the target.
Mission Success Criteria
Jaguar5 Mission Success shall be awarded for the destruction of both runways at Zemunik.
Partial Success shall be awarded for the destruction of one runway.
Hammer2 Mission Success shall be awarded for the destruction of the two Fire Can radars plus three AAA guns.
Partial Success shall be awarded for the destruction of the two Fire Can radars.
Satan3 Mission Success shall be awarded for the no losses to the strike/DEAD flights from enemy aircraft.
Partial Success shall be awarded for the one loss to the strike/DEAD flights from enemy aircraft.
Good hunting.

Flight Role: OCA Strike Jaguar51: "Pegasus" AA=0 AG=0 RTB Jaguar52: "Gekko" AA=1 AG=1 KIA

We held at the edge of Patriot coverage waiting for the A-A all clear from Satan3 and for Hammer2's SDBs to take out AAA.
With the all clear we proceeded to low level.
We were warned of a leaker, which Gekko picked up and killed.
Pegasus had a CTD just turning in for the durandal pass.
Gekko got his durandals off on the target but had a Mig29 right on top of him and could not evade the R-77.
Runways both out of action so a mission success.

Loaded with SDBs we took off and approached the edge of our Patriot cover in Line Abreast. We had allocated targets and pickled all eight weapons then turned east to monitor the weapon effect. As you know, SDBs take their own sweet time getting to target and I made the error of expecting Satan3 to cover the air threat while we tried to stay in the weapon bubble. This resulted in us being ambushed by MiGs and SU-27s. Bayonet was shot down by a MiG as it took off !! and I was gunned down by a MiG and SU-27 after evading a heater.
To compound our misery, Bayonet fired at my targets so we only killed one battalion.
