Now we're in trouble. The Patriot that was protecting our airbase and other important establishments on the east coast has been sabotaged. Our cover has gone and until we HQ complete repairs or get a new system up and running we are open to air strikes.

We have had indications that the underused airbase at Man'po is readying aircraft to hit us as we speak.

Your job is to set up an Ambush CAP and hit the nemey aircraft as they approach.

Good Luck.

Plasma1 flight was tasked to AMBUSHCAP from 2030 to 2050 in a very tricky 30NM wide corridor between a SA-5 and SA-2.
As soon as we were in the pit we were spiked by 2xSu-27. Extending south west after take off, fast and low, we were able to create enough spacing and quickly realised they were now cold on us.
3 and 4 monitored and engaged them while 1 and 2 proceeded to CAP area, creating a 15NM spacing between the two elements. Shortly after checking in with AWACS a first group of Tu-16 was spotted high, tracking south within our AO with another group of Su-25 trailing lower. 3 and 4 engaged the Tu-16s, 1 and 2 the Su-25s.
As I was starting to wonder how come these bombers had no escort, I picked up a group of 4xMig-29 40NM north. Priority switched, 1 and 2 engaged the Mig-29s, 3 and 4 supporting. Plasma12 crashed while going defensive. At this point 1 lost comms with AWACS, I was defensive and came back tumbleweed, 3 and 4 were now focused on this group of Mig-29. 3 of them got splashed and 1 lone wolf managed to squeeze in between 1 and 3+4, creating a very tricky situation. 3 picked up the bandit and finished him off.
The rest of the CAP was uneventful, keeping our AO safe. 3 was relaying AWACS calls to 1.
On the way back another group of bombers was trying to cross the FLOT to the east, 1 chose to not engage them as other friendlies were busy with them.
Uneventful approach and landing, except the fact that 2 of these bombers actually made it to our homeplate and bombed the runway as we were taxiing back.
