Brief for Package
Satan1 is a 3-ship SEAD Escort, Hawkeye1 is a 2-ship OCA Strike.
Mission - Destroy the runway.
Friendlies - AWACs on station south of AO.
Threats - AAA active. MiG may be expected around the area.
Mission Success is given for no aircraft losses and the 4 runway sections destroyed
Partial Success is given for 1 x aircraft loss and 2 runway sections destroyed.
IDM will be hosted by Satan1 with Hawkeye1 as backup host.

MF due to Strike not hitting target
Plan
Destroy any remain SAMS/AAA then CAP to North of target.
Execution
#2 had comms issues hearing on IVC that need to be resolved.
Ingress was uneventful. No SAM pop-ups, some unguided AAA 10nm South of target. Info passed to Strike flight.
Once on CAP #1 & #2 pushed North and #1 shot down an IL-24. #3 engaged with HARMS over target, which unfortunately missed.
Once it was confirmed that Hawkeye was RTB then #1 expended ordanance in HAS mode with two hits against Search radar, unfortunately the enemy targets were not destroyed, although one ROK EWR was hit.
Uneventful RTB with a radar approach onto 05L due to the airfield being very busy.
Issues
Server crash as taking off on first flight so reflown.
Echion couldn't join, likely due to abnormal server port. Needs to be resolved.
Sandstorm had technical issues over target with aircraft jittering.
Mango could not hear others transmitting on IVC but we could hear him. Issue needs to be resolved.

Plan
Destroy two sections of each runway with LGBs (no BLUs available).
Execution
Ingress was uneventful. SA with Satan 1 maintained and skies were clear.
At SP3 descended to FL170 from FL210 to set for attack. No 2 kept one mile spacing in trail. Encountered unguided AAA but no hits on us.
The GBU 10 G/B were released but laser failed to fire long enough and targets missed. No2 had similar issues and then had to disconnect.
Uneventful RTB with AI in tow for a landing on 09L at Osan.
Issues
As well as the server crash previously mentioned we also had issues with the reset server locking us out (password required).
Sandstorm's issues appear to be lag related stemming from the server (in my opinion).
Need to relearn use of LGB's in particular the auto lase adjustments needed and the use of manual lasing.
Everyone needs to brush up on Ramp starts. |

We’ll be using ramp starts for the next few official missions to help people get back up to speed on this.
We’ll also plan on some practice in the week.
