Gentleman,

Welcome to Hatzerim Airbase, Israel.

We've deployed to conduct some joint training exercises with the Israeli Air Force.

Our first hop will be a familiarization flight in the 2-seat F-16I-52+CFT so we can practice some engagements against AAA units using the Delilah missile followed by a familiarization of the airspace.

The picture below show a map of the area with the Steerpoint Lines shown in black as they have been input into your DTC. These mark the borders with neighboring countries and should not be entered into without express permission from AWACS. Gaza Strip and West Bank are shown in green. You can fly over these area and they are not shown on your DTS. Aircraft at sea may not fly within 12nm of the shoreline of any other country without permission from AWACS.

Package 6326

Cowboy1, Falcon1 and Fury1 are all 4-ship AI flights.

An active AAA Bn has been place at each Flight's Stp 4 to practice using the Delilah missile against, each aircraft is loaded with 2.

The two pictures below show the location of the 3 AAA Bns and the familiarization flight route.

Mission success is given for at least one Delilah hit per Flight.

Partial success is given for at least one successful Delilah launch per Flight.

All flights are from the 107th squadron, taking off from Hatzerim.

IDM will be from Fury1.
Falcon1 is package commander.

MF

The only good part of this mission was starting the jet, after that, we sucked. My 1st shot went walk-about with an unexpected go-around -- after that, good luck finding your way back to the target.
My 2nd was chasing a moving fuel truck that was made of Delilah-proof kryptonite, it was hit and merrily drove away.

Knight's 1st shot flew a nice circle around the STP, and was never made TERM ... his 2nd went terminal into the sand a few hundred yards from the battalion.

On RTB, Knight reported he was having cable issues with his joystick, so he disconnected. I tried the TFR on the Sufa, only to corkscrew into the ground.
As it turns out, I bumped the cable connecting my stick, which causes the corkscrew. I'll take a KIA or a tech, depending on the call from the refs.

More practice needed

MS (2x Delilah hits)

All managed to fire off the Delilahs with varying success towards our target STP. But it's fair to say that the circle of doom was evident on the ACMI for us too, with my first shot entering a go-around and I couldn't re-acquire the target again. So I switched it to Term and fly it into the ground. The second launch was more successful and I got a hit on a KS-12. Echion had a similar result with his second killing a KS-19.
After the DEAD engagement, we continued on the flight plan, but we also went NOE for some ground familiarisation (up close). Shortly after our turn towards HP, we got the call from AWACS to turn North and engage incoming fighters. We picked up 2 groups (a 4-ship SU24 and a 2-ship Mig29 I think) and engaged both, getting missiles off at both groups. There was a little confliction between us and Falcon when they called engaged on one of the groups, despite me reporting that we were already engaged on them, but maybe they missed my call. So I called Cowboys off the engagement and let Falcon have their fun.

On the way home, I had a RL phone call from the wife, who's away at the moment, so I had to take it (if it was a campaign mission, she'd have to wait obviously). I thought I'd put my aircraft into autopilot, but obviously not, because I returned to see my aircraft go ploughing into the desert. But since we'd completed all objectives, Vosene awarded a RTB. With 2 Delilah hits, we got a MS. Actually, all 6 of them hit something, we just don't know what, probably just the ground! :o)

Set up a rough triangle pattern between the target and the stearpoint before and after in order to make 2 attacks with Delilah. I believe all 3 of us maneged 1 hit on our second attempt. After succesful attack we regrouped, hit the deck and did low level practice along the course north. shortly before the northernmost stearpoint Griffin bounched (yes bounched) his jet on a hillside and had to eject. Shortly after making the northern stearpoint we were made aware of bandits north and executed a zoom climb and turned around to engage. Floyd fired off one missile and got a kill I believe, before we were forced to turn around due to SAM threats. attempted to reengage but lost track of targets. Made a climb to high altitude due to low fuel for number 3. otherwise Uneventful RTB and landing.
