This week the teams took part in a Deep Strike mission against the Chingting factory complex situated deep into enemy territory near the Chinese border. Success in this mission required good fuel management and good target distribution among the striking aircraft whist doing their best to eliminate or avoid the air defences and avoid getting into any distracting dogfights. All the teams flew well with very little to choose between them, with everyone recording a mission success.

Green put in another very solid performance returning home all 5 pilots who departed. Flight score 375.

Black bravely took on the mission with only 4 pilots but also did extremely well, bringing 3 men home which would have been 4 had it not been for a crash landing for 1 member after a 400 mile round trip. Language expressed by the pilot concerned is not repeatable here. Otherwise a strong performance with the factory complex completely destroyed. Flight score 376.

Blue also flew extremely well returning 5 from 6 who departed destroying the factory and also the airdefences allowing Cobra and Mustang to record 5 individual A-G kills each. Cobra also top scored on the night with 78. Flight score 384.

Red took top spot for the second week running with a strong all round performance, returning all 5 pilots home from those who departed. They successfully avoided being sucked into engaging any of the air threats until egress, and bombed the target efficiently to set the early pace for the July awards. Very well flown indeed. Flight score 392.

Full details of the scoring can be found in the CPL section of the War Room.
