Our last mission revealed the location of an SA-10 battalion south east of Wonsan.
We send two AI flights to destroy the SA-10's radar, plus other ground units
from the SA-10 and SA-11.

The first picture shows the general situation and the flight paths.

The second picture shows the tactical situation and the expected
path of the SA-10. Intel says the unit is to defend the 1st Inf Corps.
The air activity is said to be low, but there is a flight of 4 F-16
providing a TARCAP. Their TOT might be changed if needed (lack of pilots).

Package 21

Falcon1 and Stud1 are a 4-ship AI flights.
Mission success is given for 12 ground units destroyed by 8 pilots,
PS is given for 8 ground units destroyed by 8 pilots.

Avenger1 is a 4-ship TARCAP flight.
Mission success is given for no losses to Falcon and Stud by A2A,
PS is given for 25% loss max.

All flights are from the 912th squadron, taking off from Yeonchon.

IDM will be from human pilots in Avenger1; or Falcon1 otherwise.
Falcon11 is package commander.

Timings:

Avenger1 TARCAP 12:31	12:44	12:53 3 3 21/84	270

Flight paths and weapons are free.
The weather is fair at home plate and sunny at the target.

Good Hunting

Knight had tech issues on takeoff, he backed out and rejoined after takeoff.

On the way to the target, Stud 1 caught up and then went ahead as we held, due to the SA10 being active. After the SA10 was taken out we continued toward the target area but didn't engage as Homer held us back.

After we got cleared in, we started to engaged but with not so great results: due to connections issues, Zipgun only had misses and Vosene could not find any targets even when being given a markpoint.

On the way back Vosene also had issues with the flight plan steerpoints, having home plate in a different place than the rest of us.

Good flight in spite of the tech issues.

On ingress the SA-10 lit us up, so 3 and 4 we cleared in hot to destroy the radar using their HARMs, which 3 did in short order. At this point 1 and 2 went AG with the CBU87 and proceeded to destroy the remainder of the SA10 battalion. In the meantime, an SA11 unit started to mud lock us (no actual launches were reported or seen), 4 shot a HARM and destroyed one of them, after which time 3 and 4 again fired HARMs at the SA11 but with no further kills recorded.

Once we had expended our AG ordnance, we set up a NW/SE CAP and covered Falcon1 while they played chicken with the SA11s and Mavericks.

We found that only with the IDM in CONT would all members get to see all jets on the display, and one of the Falcons was warping all over the place. Other than that, enjoyable mission and a pleasure to fly with a couple of my old Green flight colleagues again.
