Our ground forces are consolidating and enemy battalions move on a north/south route
in grid 4.6. The destruction of the depots at Sep'o allows us to help our troops
and concentrate on AI flights.

From the above screens, showing the flight paths for all in this package, you can see enemy battalions.

Cowboy1 and Fury1 are from the 912th squadron at Yeonchon while Falcon1 and Lobo1 of the 911th squadron take off from Chongju AB.

Package 8625
Cowboy1, Fury1 and Lobo1 are four ship AI flights.
MS for the AI flights is 4 units destroyed per pilot, PS will be awarded for 2 units destroyed per pilot.
IDA will be from Cowboy1.

Falcon1 is the four ship Escort and Package Commander.
MS is no air losses to the AI flights, PS is given for a maximum of two aircraft from AI flights destroyed.

Timings

TO for Cowboy1 is 13:11hrs with PP at 13:24 at FL190. IDM 1, VHF 1, tacan 11/74
TOT for Cowboy1 is 13:30hrs at FL160.

TO for Falcon1 is 13:10hrs with PP at 13:20 at FL280. IDM 2, VHF 2, tacan 16/79
TOT for Falcon1 is 13:25hrs at FL280.

TO for Fury1 is 13:12hrs with PP at 13:22 at FL200. IDM 3, VHF 3, tacan 21/84
TOT for Fury1 is 13:28hrs at FL170.

TO for Lobo1 is 13:14hrs with PP at 13:27 at FL210. IDM 4, VHF 4, tacan 26/89
TOT for Lobo1 is 13:33hrs at FL180.

Flight path is fixed for mutual support.

The weather is fair at home plates and fair at the target as the weather system moves SE with more storms coming in from the north.
Choose your weapons accordingly.

Good Hunting

PS

Went in as briefed, tried to not rush so planned for 2 mavericks pr pass.
Lost #4 seconds to a technical after he launched his first 2 mavericks.
Incoming EF-2000 were called on Uniform and 1&3 was AA at this point and engaged and #3 managed to splash one.
Miller time was called and RTB was uneventful.

Flight Role: AI
Lobo11: Utopic AA=0 AG=3 RTB
Lobo12: Poppy AA=1 AG=6 RTB
Lobo13: Zipgun AA=3 AG=3 RTB
Lobo14: Dboy AA=3 AG=5 RTB

MS

We took off as planned and had no events on the way.

We were last in the target area and started the attack. Due to me no calling out the sort properly, there were some issues for the rest of the guys but still managed no to double tap targets.

Poppy and Dboy managed to get rid of their Mavs faster and went A-A, which turned out great since we got 'jumped' by Mig29s at first and then Eurofighters. After the enemy fighters were taken out, Zipgun and Dboy took out a group of Su25.

The flight then regrouped and did a straight in landing.

DLOs for me:
* better ground targets sorting and communication
* communicate intended speed when in trail
* longer IP to target separation/distance

Just to clarify - it's not like my Mav deployment was poor that I scored only 2 hits. On the first ingress, the display turned into a slideshow - no more than a couple frames per second. I got off two and scored two hits. On the egress the display went black then CTD'd on me.

After rejoin into a full jet, same again but didn't get as far as shooting off more Mavs, CTD'd on me again.

No idea why this happened - hasn't CTD'd in this way before, and was fine offline afterwards lastnight/this morning.

Flight Role: AI
Cowboy11: Fisty AA=0 AG=6 RTB
Cowboy12: Echion AA=0 AG=6 RTB
Cowboy13: Mango AA=0 AG=0 RTB (Tech)

MS

Uneventful ingress and I believe we were the first in. Unfortunately, at our STP 4, Mango called a Tech and had to RTB. Some sort of problem with his MFDs/FCR, possibly the same issue as Homer. That said, Echion and I prosecuted on 2 separate columns, scoring 100% hits, in 3 passes each. Review of the ACMI suggests that we may have been engaging possibly Fury's targets, but they must've strayed into our kill box, so I'm considering them as fair game and there were plenty of targets to go around us all. :)
Shortly after Dakota, with Fury to the North and engaged with enemy fighters, I picked up an EF2000 2-ship inbound from the Northwest. Not sure if Fury were aware, since they were on Fury's 9 oclock, but with a hot aspect, so Echion and I sprinted to intercept. I chucked 2 slammers in TWS mode and Echion 1. All 3 missed but it looks like our slammers kept them busy enough for Fury to finish them off. We then turned cold and with all flights Dakota, I called Miller Time and RTB. an uneventful egress brought us to Homeplate for a straight in approach, with no issues on landing. an enjoyable flight.

With 12 kills, a Mission Success, despite Mango's tech.
