Having seriously damaged the enemy troops north of Seoul a new threat has presented itself in the central FLOT area.

From the above screen, showing the flight paths for all in this package, you can see recently discovered SA-10 positions. For the success of this mission these need to be silenced. This will allow Cowboy and Falcon forward so that they can attack the multiple columns of enemy vehicles on the north-south road that crosses the border in the target box indicated.

Cowboy 1 and Falcon 1 are from the 912th squadron at Yechon while Lobo 1 and Fury 1 of the 911th squadron take off from Chongju AB.

Package 5773
Cowboy 1 and Falcon 1 are four ship AI flights. MS is for each flight have an average of four kills each. PS will be awarded if an average of two are destroyed.

IDA will be from Fury 1.

Fury 1 is the four ship SEAD escort and Package Commander.
MS is no radar SAM losses to the strike flights plus two SA-10 Flap Lids destroyed, PS is given for two SA-10 Flap Lids killed.

Lobo 1 is the four ship escort. MS is no air losses to the package with a PS for two losses max.

The weather is poor at home plates and worse at the target as the weather system moves SE with more storms coming in from the north. Choose your weapons accordingly.

Good Hunting

We took off as planned and were 20secs ahead of caret, Fury took out the SA10s and we continued as fragged, setting up the cap.

As we had contacts north of the target, we extended north more than the briefed CAP plan.

We only had an enemy 2ship come down south as a threat to the package. They were a couple of EF2000s and they were engaged first by the 2nd element, but dodged the missiles and continued hot. The 1st element also engaged them and took them out this time.

Other than that, no other threats and after Cowboy completed their runs, we RTBed and landed.

Good flight with U6 comms a bit short on Lobo's side.

Flight Role: SEAD
Fury11: Homer AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Lobo12: Veiland AA=1 AG=1 RTB
Lobo13: Floyd AA=0 AG=1 RTB

MS

All went as planned to start with, 2 of the 3 SA-10 radars were alight, as they were shooting down a flight of M2000, so Veiland and I killed them in short order. The 3rd took a little longer to show itself, but Floyd killed it once it did.

We CAP'd E-W for a while, then went home after Cowboy called miller time. Floyd made a good point afterwards, in that a Figure-8 rather than a racetrack oval CAP pattern would have allowed us to point our radars into bandit country at each turn. Lesson learned and noted for next time out. :thumbs-up:

Flight lead scraped his tail and wrecked his jet/perimeter fencing/reputation on landing...

Flight Role: CAS
Cowboy11: Sabre AA=0 AG=4 RTB
Cowboy12: Echion AA=0 AG=1 RTB
Cowboy13: Fisty AA=0 AG=5 RTB

PS

Mango ELOA, Fiero LOA

Took off as briefed, the first two SA-10 were taken down quickly by SEAD. We had a short loiter period waiting for the third.
When this was down we proceeded to target.

Cloud over the targets complicated maverick release required multiple passes to fire all weapons. Having fired all weapons we returned to base without incident.

The debrief showed that either Fisty or Sabre got 9 kills and the rest 0 depending on which version was presented to you. The results above are based on Fisty's analysis of the tape.
