We shall continue our efforts to inflict damage deeper into the NW. Reasonable damage was done to SA-11 and 10 sites but a considerable threat remains. The skies were relatively clear during the last mission. That won't last and the picture below is that of the area fifteen minutes before this mission launches.
The focus of our mission is to hit the 820th Armoured Corp base, four miles west of Unp'a.

Blood 2 and Boxer 3 shall take off from Chongju and Beast 1 from Nowhere (Yechon) AB.
Package 19472 Beast 1 is a four ship strike flight. MS is for all three depots, the ammo dump and admin building to be destoyed. PS will be awarded if all three depots are destroyed.
Blood 2 is the four ship escort and Package Commander, tasked to protect the strike flights. An additional target for Blood 2 is an enemy AWACs on station in the area (see recce shot below). IDA will be from this flight. MS no AA losses to the strike flights, PS one loss to the strike flight.
Boxer 3 is a four ship SEAD flight. MS is no radar SAM or radar AAA losses to the package, PS is a maximum of two similar losses.

Timings PP for Beast 1 is 09:29hrs at FL220. IDM 1, VHF 1, tacan 11/74 TOT for Beast 1 is 09:39hrs at FL180. PP for Blood 2 is 09:24hrs at FL250. IDM 2, VHF 2, tacan 16/79 PP for Boxer 3 is 09:25hrs at FL270. IDM 3, VHF 3, tacan 21/84
Flight path is fixed for mutual support.
The weather is still on the change and is expected to remain fair at the target for the next few hours. Choose your weapons accordingly.
Good Hunting

MS
Short flight, not a lot of action. We only had one engagement with 2xEF2000, out of which Beast (AI) killed one and Poppy took out another.
Thanks to Boxer for checking my six when I called nails 29 - it looked like there was not a fighter, as none of us could find anything.
The radar assisted departure worked out good so that was a good idea, we'll probably do that again when we have similar weather.
Good mission. |

Uneventful ingress, then several SA-11 went active. Due to a mangeled flight plan for the egress route we engaged two SA-11, but they would never become a factor for the strike flight. An SA-11 over the target area was attacked when two Eurofighter came close and the flight went cold (#4 evaded a slammer).
The flight loitered over the FLOT to support the Escort and started an uneventful egress once relieved. |
