This week the teams attempted a strike mission against the hangars at kuum-ni airbase preceded by a Sead Escort to knock out the sam defences in the vicinity of the airfield. Competition within the flights was strong boosted by a 2 year flight night attendance record which led to a number of strong individual performances. All flights returned a mission success for both Strike and SEAD Escort but taking variable losses while doing so.

Red had the toughest night losing all 5 pilots who set out but still achieving their objectives. Flight score 296.

Black fared better bringing home 2 from 5 who departed with some creditable individual performances, including 4 AA kills from Vosene. Flight score 347.

Green (boosted by the presence of Command) put out a full 6 pilots and returned 3 of them safely home to tell the tale, including an outstanding 6 AA kills from Homer on his debut flight after returning to active duty with the squadron. Flight score 390.

Blue
stormed back to into form this week taking the honours with a superb all round team display boosted by 2 new pilots Iceberg and Mustang making significant contributions on their debut flights. Only 1 pilot was lost from the 6 who took off. The engine of the success was clearly Stingray who led the strike package home with no losses scoring a new CPL record of 98 points and claiming 9 AA kills between the team. Flight score 405. Superb flying gentlemen.

Blue clearly takes the early lead in the June CPL and have closed the gap to 7 points from leaders Black on the quarter/YTD standings. Vosene retains his lead at the head of the individual scoring.

All teams are now at full staffing, making the prospect of a close contest for the June awards.

Full details of the scoring available in the CPL section of the War room.
