In an effort deter the enemy access to arms and materials, HQ has decided we need a follow up strike North and this time hit the T'osan Depot. Secondary target has been added to be the 1st Artillery Corps Base, which has been a major HUB for arms and materials before being distributed to their forces ammassing on the FLOT and supplying their main MSR which needs some special attention pretty soon.

We have a break in the weather (sunny), and although the air picture appears quite busy, we should are aiming for a 10 min. break in the enemy CAP's to push to target.

Downside is the target is defended by the last remaining 2x SA-11 and 1 exhausted AAA battalion. So SEAD has a job to do.

Friendly support in the form of F-18's BARCAP's are minimal. 1 HAVCAP is on station with an E-3c providing AWACS. The AWACS is expected to be on target -2 mikes Take-off Time.

All Takeoff times for the package have been set according to last missions parameters (1 minute apart) in the following order:

HUNTER 2: sweep ToT 15:45:00
HAMMER 2: strike ToT 15:46:00
WEASEL 2: SEAD ToT 15:47:00

Although Weasel2 is last, due to a lighter loadout we expect them to take over the strike and push as fragged.

Flight Role: SEAD

Weasel21: "Vosene" AA=0 AG=2 RTB
Weasel22: "Griffin" AA=0 AG=2 RTB

MS

Plan - Ingress A25, engaged SA-11 over target then CAP to SW on an E-W axis to cover that threat lane. Support Hunter2 (Sweep) as required.

Execution-

Technical delays with Hammer2 (Strike) on Take-off resulted in ROLEX +10 for Weasel2. Uneventful ingress, we managed to make up +5 minutes so we were ROLEX +5 after the Sweep had their CAP in place.

Warned by Hunter2 that there were SA-11 active over the target and an SA-10 to the North. 1 tasked 2 to engage SA-11, 2x HARM shots, 2x SA-11 destroyed. 1 pushed East and engaged a pop up SA-10 to the East before turning North and engaging another SA-10. 2x HARM, 2x Flap Lid destroyed.

During this period Weasel2 advised Hammer2 to hold short of target area while SA-10 were engaged before clearing them into the target.

Weasel 2 then moved to CAP position, monitored a strober contact 80nm to West, no factor.

After Strike Flight called Miller Time, Weasel 2 cleared 6 for Strike and Sweep before following Strike back to Home Plate for a straight-in approach landing.

Overall a good flight with excellent comms and a Mission Success all round with no losses.

Flight Role: STRIKE
Callsign11: "Fisty" AA=0 AG=3 RTB
Callsign12: "Mango" AA=0 AG=3 RTB
Callsign13: N/A (Tech)
Callsign14: "Sabre" AA=0 AG=1 RTB

MS

At the start of the mission, Strike was beset by technical, which resulted in Sabre having to take the 4-seat after 3 exploded on take-off.

Once we got that sorted, we had a fairly uneventful ingress. After passing our Stpt 3, we proceeded as fragged, but were called off by Weasel 2, about 40 miles out from the target AO, due to SA-11s. After a few minutes, these were dealt with and we were called onto target. No's 2 and 4 dropped their bombs on the primary targets and after a quick BDA, No 1 dropped his on additional collateral targets at the barracks, which completely ruined their day.

A quick delouse on egress by Hunter 2 and the flight RTB'd, with a slight delay in landing when No.4 had to abort and go around. In the end all ships down safely and a successful mission. Good comms all round, but I'm still getting used to flight leading and all that has to bring.

Flight Role: BARCAP
Hunter21: "Poppy" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Hunter22: "Tank" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Hunter23: "Zipgun" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Hunter24: "Wildcat" AA=0 AG=0 RTB

Ingress as fragged while package was ROLEX +5 so we had time to set up the blocking positions on a E-W CAP and a NW-SE CAP. Confirmed the SA-11 active plus an SA-10 active north of the target. Handoff those targets to WEASEL2 and stayed south just outside of the SA-11 threat ring. We had quite a busy picture with some bandits west, but I took the decision to call off element because first element was out of WEZ in depth and it had element being unsupported. Sorry guys, would have been some nice kills...
When WEASEL2 came off ARIZONA and setup CAP E-W over target, we reset NE of target to block north and north east with a four ship grinder because Tracker2 our AWACS had some contacts in that direction.
Miller time call was sent, and we RTB'd. WEASEL2 volunteered a 'tail end charlie' (thanks) position to cover our egress. A quick delouse move (which wasn't needed in hindsight because of this) to pick up HAMMER21 was done and we regrouped and egressed. After FENCE checks #4 was bingo and element landed first, then first element with #2 with a go-around. All RTB.
