From our last mission we have more information about the ground troops:

I see these target areas:
South-West and closest to our troops Center, where we attacked last Sunday North-East, many infantry units there
What do you think?

Ok, same as last week then. Two flights on AI (1st on bottom left group, 2nd on bottom right group), one on Escort/SEAD.
BUT, two separate AOs for each AI Flt this time to deconflict and allow us to attack simultaneous. If the Escort CAPs north of the 2 target groups, we should have plenty of warning should we get company. |

The mission was planned for 12-16 pilots, but for whatever reasons only Zipgun and me were in the lobby at 19UK. I therefore cancel the flight for tonight. |

TASK: ESCORT
FLIGHT: Utopic Lobo11: 1 AA 0 AG RTB Poppy Lobo12: 3 AA 0 AG RTB Wildcat Lobo13: 1 AA 0 AG RTB
MS
Engaged a package of Mig21s, got a first salvo against them, but when the other AI flights started to engage the same bandits, I called the rest of our flight cold. When the dust settled, the bandits were down.
Over the target area the AA picture was quiet, but the escort flight did get engaged twice from an SA2 close to the target. We dodged all the missiles and RTB-ed.
There were some IDM issues, where, on the way back, our flight couldn't see the Interdiction flight. |

TASK: AI
FLIGHT: Vosene Panther11 0AA 2AG RTB Fisty Panther12 0AA 1AG RTB Zipgun Panther13 0AA 3AG RTB
PS
Plan was to hit ground target using Mavericks with 3 taking the SA-2 to the East.
On take-off, 1 had an issue that may have been connected to vehicles on the runway. 1 RTB'd and took the No 4 jet. 3 took over Lead, ingress was uneventfully waiting for Escort to engaged Mig-21 group and No 4 took the opportunity to catch up.
Over target No 3 took several attempts to destroy the SA-2 radar but was successful. No 2 and 4 engaged moving targets in kill box with Mavericks with limited success, No 2 got 1 kill from 6 shots and No 4 got 2 kills from 6.
No 4 took Lead for egress, uneventful Overhead break and landing in right lane of 05 as left lane still had a vehicle in it,.
Overall a good flight with Escort doing a nice job, limited success with Mavericks meant a PS.
