Today we shall be flying a mixed strike flight.
Blue flight will be first up in Lobo 2 as Escort and Package Commander. MS= No losses to the package from air threats with a max of two losses for PS.
Black flight in Fury 2 shall attack Zemunik airbase and destroy the runway. It is protected by an impotent SA2 battalion plus a AAA battalion. MS= at least three runway sections destroyed and no losses to ground fire. PS will be given if the runway is destroyed but you lose only one aircraft to ground fire.
Green flight in Viper 1 shall attack the Zadar food processing and Zadar army depot to destroy the Factory at the first site and Depot at the Second. MS= both targets destroyed with no losses to ground fire. PS= both targets destroyed but with no more than one loss to ground fire.
Package number is 22822, all from Aviano.

Flight Leads in this Sunday's official campaign mission, "Balkans BoP - Mission 1" are requested to post a debrief of their flights actions, including any lessons learned or that should be learned by others.

Viper 1:1 "Ironman" 0-1 RTB

Viper 1:3 "Fisty" 0-1 RTB
Viper 1:4 "Scruffy" 0-5 RTB
Mission Outcome M/S
Uneventful take off - ingress good at A28 - all bombs off, element had a second run to get all bombs off. Landing cross wind caught out Fisty but everyone else got down ok. All targets destroyed.

Flight Role: ESCORT
Lobo21: "Poppy" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
Lobo22: "Wildcat" AA=1 AG=0 RTB
Lobo23: "Zipgun" AA=0 AG=0 RTB
On takeoff an APC was on the runway. Warned the other flights and it was no factor.
Ingress was speedy to get ahead of the package.
Picture clear on ingress, dispatched two scramblers from Zadar. They crashed just before the missiles
Established a W-E 7mi CAP. Had 2*MiG-29's from Banja Luka coming south, #1 was bait and #2 was hook: nice engagement and picture clear. Back to the CAP where #3 was holding down the fort: a MiG-21 popup was fired on but right after shot down by a Tornado and my AIM-120 went active and hit the Tornado :(.
Package called Miller Time and we maintained CAP for 2 mikes to tail end charlie it RTB. Landing uneventful but again a full airbase with the battalion there.
Good mission, clear and good comms.

Uneventful take off and ingress.
Attacked with JDAM's. Unfortunately according to ACMI it looks like Griffin hit my runway segment, so only 2/3 segments destroyed.
Uneventful RTB. We were in the front of the package so landed first.
Floyd had a bit of a rough landing due to crosswind and decided to park his plane off the runway.

My apologies to Veiland and Floyd for hitting the wrong segment. I was sure I had selected the correct steerpoint but age has crept in again and stolen more brain cells. Sorry chaps.
