This week the teams flew a strike mission against the heavily defended Hamhung docks preceded by a 2 ship SEAD Escort. Success in this mission relied heavily on the SEAD Escort taking out the 2 SA 10 sites in the target area in order to allow the strike flight a safe ingress.

Blue fought valiantly this week, but fate conspired against them as 1 of their number had to withdraw due to technical problems leaving only 3 humans on the night to take on the mission. Let down by the AI controlled SEAD flight, the team somehow pulled off a mission success and destroyed the targets but at very high cost, losing all 3 pilots to the ferocious air defences.

Green bolstered in number by Command flew a competent mission, with the SEAD led by Focus succeeding in taking out both the SA 10s leaving the strike led by Bigdawg to pound the target with a mixture of GBUs and Mavericks. Everything was destroyed except for 1 lonely crane which somehow survived the onslaught. Only 1 pilot was lost in ingress, however on the return journey a further 2 more were lost to enemy aircraft.

Red flew an excellent mission for the second week running, reporting a mission success for both flights and also returning 2 pilots home from the 5 who departed. This was their best turnout in the CPL so far and it showed as the performance was good enough to send them to the NO1 position in the month to date standings after 2 missions.

Performance of the week however goes to Black flight who flew the mission with only 4 pilots, but pulled off a mission success in both flights losing only 1 pilot in the process and topping the team scoring with 368 points. Included in this was the individual top scorer Vosene with 73 points which was good enough to reclaim his place at the top of both the month-to-date and year-to-date individual standings. Extremely well flown against a challenging mission.

Blue retains the lead in the Quarter/YTD standings however the gap is closing as the competition hots up.

Full scoring details available in the CPL section of the War Room.
