We have been once again invited to show off Falcon BMS at this show in October. I have requested a stand for us, last years format was a couple of computers setup on a mini LAN to fly some Combat Missions together, while other members spoke to the public. Over 1600 visitors last year on that one day and the 185th had the largest crowd all day!

I will be looking for volunteers later in the year to help, but just put the date in your diary for now.

Sounds great Crowebar although unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to participate this year.

Plus if anyone is looking for overnight accommodation you can get a room at the Radisson Park Inn hotel Telford: http://www.parkinn.co.uk/

Search for Telford hotel and you’ll find all the details.

Rates are £75.00 per single & £85.00 per double or twin. Rates include full English breakfast. To book you will need to call on 01952 429900 and speak to Kelly or Natalie between the hours of 8am-6pm. Outside of these hours you can speak to Reception on 01952 429988. When booking and to get the reduced rate please quote ‘Flight Sim 2015’. They will then take credit/debit card details at the time of booking to guarantee the rooms. The final deadline date for unsold rooms will be 28 days prior to arrival at which point they will release any rooms not booked/named.

I am within driving distance on the morning of the event, but happy to book a room here if anyone would like to go and have a few beers the night before?

Just got PC Pilot and the advert for the show has three small pictures from last year's event. If you look in the middle of the third pic you can see the 185th banner above the throng.

Go us.

Time to start checking your diary's guys as October 3rd is rolling in fast.
Ideally I would like 2 volunteers to assist alongside me with this event.

with 2 of us we can have 1 x pit setup flying a demo while the other talks to crowds. But ideally with 3 of us we can repeat last year's setup which was 2 pits networked and flying some 2 ship missions while another talked to the crowd. Having seen how busy it got last year a 4th guy would be brilliant giving 2 guys talking to the crowd. We rotated the flying and talking last year.

You need to be able to arrive at Cosford for 08:00 - 08:30 on the Saturday to get setup, and we pack up around 4pm.

Plenty of opportunity to look at the other stands & buy flight sim stuff!

Any volunteers?

The hangar is open for setting up from 08:00 Saturday morning, show opens at 10:00. So you get 2 hours. Last year I arrived at 8, Sabre 8.30 ish and we were easily setup in time. If you are happy to bring your rig Griffin I think we could easily fit 3 rigs in a row on the table. Last year we had 2, which ment that Skal was always flying an unfamiliar rig. If you have rudder pedals you need a non-slip mat as the floor is slippy.

Cosford is 1.5 hours drive for me so easily reached on the Saturday morning. However if people are looking at staying Friday night I may well consider joining the party!

Ironman are you considering joining us for the day as an official (free entry)?
