FIRST! Sort of...
Flight Role: (Interdiction) Falcon 1: "Blade" AA=0 AG=14 RTB Falcon 3: "Elmo" AA=0 AG=25 RTB
MS
Pretty uneventful flight, besides me disconnecting between sp 1 and 2. About 25 nm before we reached steerpoint 3, we noticed it was VERY busy around target area so we went for an N/S-holding pattern. During the 2nd pass I was getting a bit fuel critical so we went to refuel.
15 minutes after I decided to refuel, I was finally connected, with Elmo only taking 10 seconds for himself afterwards. After that, we split into 2 elements, I attacked around sp4, Elmo around sp5. We hit more than enough targets after the first pass, I took out an extra SA-2 with one of my Mavs, Elmo hit as many targets as he could with his.
After that, we were RTB for an uneventful egress and landing.

Really gutted I couldn't make this as I wanted to see how it played out, Just hope the mission played out as I had intended it to! it was an experimentation of trying to construct a campaign type scenario into our TE format hopefully it didn't make Lumpers brain overload with all the Blue flights in the area.
Also glad to see that you guys topped up on fuel.
If the response is positive then I can try and do continuation missions from that point for when Redflag isn't available.
If anyone recorded an acmi can you let me know so I can learn from any mission woopsies that occured.

Joif, believe me when I say I really enjoyed this mission! Perhaps you could fit in some enemy bomber runs on our home plate. :)
And not really an oopsie for me, but I do realize I have to practice refueling a bit. |

If you really want to fry my brains mmake that many red aircraft. Really was not that bad, but could have been very difficult if we had to make control time on target.

| That is something I have thought about also actually, trying to make the TE more like a campaign with many other flights doing other missions that may or may not become a factor. Then you can just build on what you have done previously and eventually have a super TE. |

Well I'm glad things seem to have gone well, Yeah the most difficult part about this mission is getting the difficulty right, when you have so much blue flights operating in your area then there's a only a slim chance that the SAM's will light you up and same with enemy aircraft so its a difficult one to balance without completely overloading the skies with red fighters.
I also experimented with that Mission Editor program so that the artillery battalions only contained the right units which made the mission success criteria a bit easier.

Prettt hectic mission. Confronted a forest of contacts with the AI friendlies and foes being packed in the same tight space area. Great help from Lumper in responding quickly in the request for foe altitude callouts, greatly helping in sorting and killing the right guys. Still had blue on blue but it could have been a lot worse.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.

And besides, why don't we reinstigate the thing we did 2 years ago? The last mission of the year (the one before xmas holidays) should be one we choose from the past TEs :) |
