For the forthcoming Armoured Fist campaign commencing this Sunday (10th October) I am pleased to confirm the following team entries:-
1.5 PIE REAPS, Peebs, Goose, Weezer
Iron Eagles BALLISTIC, Cobra, Stingray, Pinbeck
Iron Hand EARTHMOVER, sabre, Tracer, Ktel (welcome back)
Team 4 TURNBURN, Dragonflight, Bigbrother, Hammer
Everyone who wishes to participate please meet in the squadron webchat at 19.45 hrs GMT for a bit of inter team banter, we will look to break into teams on seperate comms channels at 20.00 hrs.
Some inspirational team names would be appreciated for those who have yet to come up with a snappy title.
Realistically, there is still time to form another team if anyone feels left out from this, please let me know or post your wish to be included to this thread. You must be prepared to make the commitment to turn up on Flight night for 5 weeks running, obviously some absences due to real life commitments will be inevitable, and most teams will probably fly one man short on at least one occasion so it should even out over the course of the competition.
I have decided to stay neutral in this competition in the interests of fairness. However, in order to be as inclusive as possible to the membership, and to ensure that any 185th member who wants to fly but is not prepared or able to commit to a team can still fly, I have decided to allow the use of reserves provided that the pilot(s) used as reserves are not part of any of the other nominated teams listed above. If you are in the squadron chat lobby at 19.45 hrs GMT on a Sunday night and a spare seat in any of the flights is available, you will be able to participate at the invitation of the team leader concerned. As the teams will be expected to fly 2 missions per week rather than our usual one mission, you may defer flying the second mission to another evening with the mutual agreement of all team members should you find yourself running out of time. In any event, mission results, screenshots and your teams saved TAC file (using the file naming convention specified) should reach me by 20.00 hrs on the Thursday following each Sunday. This will give me time to collate the results a post a suitable website update each week.
Enjoy the competition in the best spirit of the 185th. Good luck and may the best team win.
