A huge well done to Black Flight who deservedly win Flight of the Year. They performed consistently well and in the end are comfortable winners.
Congratulations to Floyd who scoops Flight Lead of the Year for the first time together with Top Survivor, Master Mud-Pounder and Joint 1st Ace of the Base with Theron. Well done also to Tiag and Griffin for their awards.
Thanks to everyone who took part in Sunday night flying over the last 12 months. Looking forward to 2010 we have the prospect of some exciting changes on the horizon.
Finally it just remains for me to wish both you and your families a very happy New Year and all the best for 2010.

Congratulations to all of Black flight on your team effort, but watch out - Blue light is coming to get ya!
Well done to all you individual viper jocks who have won these annual awards, and special mention to Mango on achieving 3rd place in the 'pilot of the year' catagory in your first year on the squadron. Keep your sights high mate, Flight lead of the year next year!!!
I must also say what a great year I have had in my first year with the squadron. I look forward to Sunday evenings like never before (sex never was on the cards, on a Sunday!) Thank you everyone for making me welcome, for flying with me even though I'm sure your cringing at times, and for all of the encouragement over the year, even if you did almost get me arrested hahaHaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Here's to another damn fire year! Cheers.

I can only second Crowebars sentiment about last year, I enjoyed every minute of flying in your company learning from your experience and making some progress in Falcon. As to my CPL mention, the credit surely goes to my wingmen and FLds and Tiag in particular for his instruction. All I did was show up and enjoy, (with a very limited contribution usually to actual MS). Wish all you guys a great happy and healthy new year and of course lets get back in the pit for plenty of MSs RTBs and good flying in good company! |
