Mission Destroy runway at Sigonella Airbase

Cowboy Flight 2 ship F-16-C Block 50

Pinbeck 1-1
Ballistic 1-2

Cowboy fight was the strike flight on this mission and would be protected by Falcon and Fury flights.

Airbourne and heading towards steerpoint 2 on time.
As briefed we only climbed to angels 5 and would proceed faster than caret to target,to make sure we arrived before TU-95's could get airbourne. Escorts clearing our path and calling proceed as they cleared area.

After steerpoint 3 we dropped down to angels 2 or less with radar off and using terrain to help mask our ingress. Escort flight staying close and watching out for bandits while SEAD flight destroyed the SAM's.

Reached IP without incident but with SAM 3 still active over target, ( HARM was launched but due to Allied force gremlins it missed. )

Decided to proceed dropping to 100-200 feet. Called weapons free and headed for left runway while Ballistic took the right runway. ECM on 4 and decoys dropping we ran in fast and ahead of caret as intended.

Dropped bombs without taking any fire and broke to the left as there were SU-33 now active over the coast.
Escort flights engaged bandits and Cowboy proceeded to climb to angels 25 and head for home.

When at altitude and heading SU-33's appeared on RWR. Asked escort if help was required but were told it was in hand and to proceed on flight home.

Landed at home plate without further incident for a mission success.
Escort flights did a great job with protection nothing got near strike flight, thank you guys. Also great to have Snakebite in AWAC giving us real time info.

Enjoyed the T.E. Short flight but lots or capable threats out there so had to plan well and keep on toes.

I provided AWACS support to Black flight and I would like to provide my feedback on that mission.

According to my screen everything was smooth and plan went the way it's been planned for.
Fury1 flight led by Panther did a great job clearing the skies for the SEAD and strike flights. Following the shoot down of the first Mig-29A flight, both (SEAD and Strike) flights proceeded on their flight plan and did their job.
Strike flight bombed the Airport in no time, and that reduced the chances of these Su33's of getting closer.
Two Su-33 flights poped up later and again Fury flight took these bandits real quick.

Comms were very smooth, SA was fantastic from what I saw and everyone was just doing his job.

Thanks to Ballistic for producing this quality TE.
