Gents,
Tomb's campaign will start in February, and this Sunday will be the first mission of that campaign. However, briefing will be sent out on Sunday's morning the 1st of February. This campaign simulates a hypothectical war in NATO's southern front during the 1991 Gulf War period (Desert Storm )by making the assumption that the WARSAW PACT reacted to events in the middle east with two human commanders for both sides, and it will run for several weeks.
the first mission is called "Come as you are" and depicts NATO's worst nightmare, an attack straight from the barracks and home bases with no build up and therefore little warning. The bad news is the WARPAC forces will be massive, the good news is thier good stuff is not near the front line and at the rear so expect SA2/3/6 and T55 tanks however mig29 and Su17 will be present but with reduced load outs since they will be carrying fuel and have reduced loadouts untill they can be deployed to forward bases, we have a short trip to the front line
it is early sunday morning and the call out plan has been initiated, all soldiers, sailors and airmen are to report for duty immediatly.
many people nursing saturday night hangovers can been seen reporting for duty.
we will fly with whatever pilots turn up, first 24 pilots in, this has turned out a bit more authentic than intended since its now sunday morning... (i had intended a weeks build up on the forum)
Briefing will be verbal ON TS. TE starts as soon as everyone is in
Be advised every airplane counts so RTB back to home base if possible, be advised this is what i will call a dynamic TE and works just like a F4AF campaign with all that implies (reinforcments, repairs air defence asset clustering, prepatry artillary barrages etc etc except the ATO is human moderated for both sides.
