A huge congratulations to Green Flight who deservedly win Flight of the Year for the first time. They performed strongly throughout the year and in the end are comfortable winners. It was extremely close for 2nd place with Blue outscoring Black by just 31 points after 50 missions. Red came fourth but can be proud of scoring over 20,000 points in the year, a score that would have won the CPL in 2007, demonstrating just how much all of the Flights have upped their game in 2008.
Congratulations to Bigbrother who once again wins Flight Lead of the Year (total points) while Panther makes it a Black brace by winning Flight Lead of the Year (average points).
Green pilots scoop the remaining awards with Snakebite winning two awards, Pilot of the Year (average points) and Survivability. Theron bags both Ace of the Base and Master Mud Pounder while Sabre rounds things off with Pilot of the Year (Total Points).
A big well done to all of the winners, the awards are well deserved and thanks to everyone who took part over the last 12 months.
Fights On! as January brings a new start to the CPL with some changes to the scoring system, more details to come soon.
In the meantime, may we wish you a Happy New Year and we look forward to celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 185th with you in 2009.
