The area around El Arish, not least the air base there, is of interest to command. They suspect enemy aircraft are using the base as a refuelling point and location for ambush CAPs. The fact that an engineer battalion is nearby gives credence to this suspicion.
You are tasked with disabling the runways, shutting down El Arish radar and putting the nearby army camp out of action.

Fig. 1 - Flight Plan for Package.

Fig. 2 - Package Briefing Info for Package 3116.
Three flights of F-16s have been tasked with this job and they should co-ordinate their attacks as a "Big Wing" to avoid any mishaps.
A flight of F-15Cs will be on station above you to provide air support.
Enemy Rafaelle and F-16C-30 aircraft are active in the area.
There is no information available on ground defences (AAA/SAMs). There is no AWACs on station either.
The weather is clear at the target.
Tasking Viper3 - Destroy both runways at El Arish.
Mako3 - Destroy El Arish radar station.
Banshee5 - Destroy El Arish army camp.
Rumble7 - Protect the package from air threats.
Mission Success Criteria
Viper3 Mission Success shall be awarded for both runways out of action
Partial Success shall be awarded for one runway out of action
Mako3 Mission Success shall be awarded for both towers and the satcom station destroyed
Partial Success shall be awarded for destruction of the radar towers
Banshee5 Mission Success shall be awarded for destruction of the ammo dump and three warehouses
Partial Success shall be awarded for destruction of the ammo dump and one warehouse
Hog3 Mission Success shall be awarded for a maximum of one package losses to enemy aircraft.
Partial Success shall be awarded for a maximum of two package losses to enemy aircraft.
Good hunting.

Loaded with 4 x Slammers and 4 x Spice 2000P, we took off on Rwy 10 and started a left hand climbing orbit, as we needed to get some altitude before heading to the FLOT, which was fairly close.
After reaching FL140 we started towards the FLOT only to be asked to hold by Rumble 7, so we started another climbing turn. We had visual with Viper 3 who were doing the same.
I asked Rumble 7 for the nod to go forward as we were fairly close to the weapon release point (about ten miles). After granting the move, moved to the target line abreast and released all eight Spice 2000s within 10 seconds of each other. I gave the Dakota call, climbed to FL270 and set up a support DCA for Rumble.
We only had one hot leg of air-to-air before everyone was heading home.
The final approach to Home Plate was aggressive as we had to do a combat descent to get low enough for the approach, and even that wasn't enough as we were too close and had to extend for the OH on 10L.
We both landed safely but I was blown up on the taxiway when one of ours hit a lamppost and took me with it!
A good flight and nice work by Red Fox as my No2.

Flight Role: STRIKE Viper31: "Pegasus" AA=0 AG=4 KIA Viper32: "Mango" AA=0 AG=6 RTB

All targets destroyed.
Pegasus did not hear directive to hold position and stumbled into enemy fighter range. Shot down by an AIM7M. No audible warning from RWR. Potentially not configured correctly as first flight in theater specific F16.
