Our efforts to restrict the air and SAM threats are progressing well. We need to help out on the front though. Our advancing troops on the western edge need assistance getting through.
You are tasked with AI/CAS activities to hamper actions by the enemy's Motor Rifle Battalions.

Fig. 1 - Flight Plan for Package.
There will be two flights of four F-16C-50s plus a flight of four F-15Cs tasked with a DCA over the target area. The DCA duration is twenty minutes at FL300.

Fig. 2 - Target Area Information.
The area is protected by the remnants of AAA battalions and the target battalions will have their manpads and small arms defences.

Fig. 3 - Package Briefing Info for Package 3312
The weather is clear at the target.
The nearby enemy air base has been neutralised.
We have AWACs for this mission in the form of Magic 1.
Tasking Jackal5 and Cajun4 - Search for and destroy enemy armoured units in the patrol areas. It is essential that you work together to co-ordinate the attacks and avoid double taps and Blue on Blue kills.
Hog3 - Protect the package from air threats.
Mission Success Criteria
Jackal5 and Cajun4 Mission Success shall be awarded for the destruction of an average of four ground kills per aircraft.
Partial Success shall be awarded for the destruction of three ground kills per aircraft.
Hog3 Mission Success shall be awarded for the no losses to the AI flights from enemy aircraft.
Partial Success shall be awarded for a max of two losses to the AI flights from enemy aircraft.
Good hunting.

No issues experienced during ramp, take-off and departure. Pegasus had a tech as we passed the hold point on the edge of our Patriot circle. Happily he rejoined.
We were given clearance by Hog 3 to continue as the air picture was good for us.
We had two separate areas to attack. The first element attack a 92% operational battalion at SP6 while the second attacked the slightly less strong targets at SP5. We came in from the west in 2 mile trail. We were loaded with 4 x GBU-54HEs each which cam in useful given that dome targets were moving while others were static. Bayonet's were static and he managed to get all four bombs off in one pass using the GPS mode. Mine were moving so had to lase the first target. The remainder then stopped and I released the remaining bombs in GPS mode.
Pegasus had good results and once Spud (aka Kartofelmesser) had finished his attacks we regrouped at our SP7 and returned for an OHB on rwy 27. Bayonet landed heavily and had to eject and Spud damaged something on landing and had to do the same.
A good job by all.
Lessons learned - Stay in your allotted altitude slots and respect others slots and areas of action. I was guilty of dropping into my elements altitude slot, which could have been nasty but for Spud and Pegasus's good flying.
